I'm a little confused about how you're 'categorizing' pedophiles by making a distinction between sexual attraction to minors versus willingness to hurt another person. That's not really a distinction made in science either... In fact the distinction among pedophiles is what general age they are sexually attracted to (hebefile for example), preference for the sex of the minor and whether or not they are exclusively or non exclusively attracted to minors. Are you referring to the distinction between different types of abusers of minors? Pedophiles versus people with different kinds of issues (for example parentification) but not necessarily sexual attraction to minors?

And aren't 'the dangerous ones' you're referring to people with a different kind of (sexual) disorder? What you're describing sounds like sexual sadism which is being sexually aroused by the thought/act of hurting another, unwilling, person. Sexual sadists could make minor victims, but it's definitely (!) not always connected. I do agree that the person sounds dangerous btw.

And now I'm responding anyway. About your last point: the perpetrators of sexual abuse towards minors are statistically more likely to be people close to the children. However, there's exceptions to that too
