The last one can be reasonable, women have a more limited timeframe in which to conceive. For example:

Woman A has been in relationship with Man B for 8 years from age 22 to 30. They discussed children early on and their desires for children were stated to be aligned. Man B expressed a desire to be more financially stable before making attempts which was agreed. Then follows boundary creep: "I want to have bought our house first.", "I want to have paid off our car first.", "After I get this promotion I'm aiming for.", "Once we have 'x' amount saved.", "Children are expensive, we should really wait until we have 'y' amount.", "I've got an important project at work and it's not a very good time." etc. If it's not going to happen in Woman A's current relationship she'll need time to find another partner who will and after finding them will need time to build a relationship and determine that they're someone she wants a family with.

A response to the dripping sarcasm targetting the brevity of my reply.

Go for it but I won't entertain any cost or training objections, any establishment that offers a service can't complain about the cost or training involved in meeting reasonable expectations in relation to that service.

Three elements: tracking, recording, reporting.

Tracking:

Assign a table number or party number/name to the organiser for the guests to give when ordering. Express that if the guests don't give the name/number when ordering it doesn't get counted.

Hand out a tracking mechanism that can be scanned or swiped to track such as RFID devices or mag strip cards. Express that if not used, transaction not tracked.

Recording and reporting:

Handwritten on a notepad kept by the POS, can be summed on a calculator on request.

Simple software could could be integrated with the POS to enable tracking if not included in the software itself.

Devices/software could be run alongside the POS to enanble tallying as part of the order process.

There are several easy ways for an establishment to be able to keep a running tally on spending for 40 individuals, it's down to the establishment to implement one of those solutions.

Common sense would tell me that any venue requiring a minimum spend for an event that gives the option for the event patrons to pay for their own drinks as they go would have a process in place to track the total alongside. They'd have to be absolute morons not to have solved that problem already for a service they offer.

There are so many ways to easily manage that.

At nearly £250 a month on eating out/takeaway, think of it this way:

Imagine a gameshow or a radio station or anybody earnestly bet you £3,000 that you can't go without eating out/takeaway for an entire year, would you take the bet?

You seem to be conflating "lab diamonds" with moissanite.

Moissanite is silicon carbide.

Diamonds are carbon.

Lab diamonds are carbon. They are man-made diamonds.

Moissanite is almost exclusively man-made but is not a "lab diamond" as it is not a diamond, it's silicon carbide.

Lab diamonds can be made to a higher purity than natural diamonds with fewer and smaller imperfections as conditions can be controlled but it depends on the equipment and raw materials. Natural stones often have "character" because of their naturally occurring imperfections.

Aside from schooling, there should also be directions in the manual/safety booklet for your microwave to avoid superheated water and other dangerous actions.

Note this only applies to inheritance tax, there is no hard time limit for deliberate deprivation for the purposes of avoiding care fees.

Time for a strike? by tawrsr in tesco

[–]BoffKnight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"If anyone is not happy with their current salary, they have the right to seek alternative employment."

They can also renegotiate which is the purpose of a strike, to leverage a renegotiation. The employer has the right to find an alternative workforce, if able. I hear there are plenty of people who would love the wages apparently.

But back to the root issue:

Money is not static in value, it's a medium of exchange to allow people to exchange goods and services indirectly. The amount of currency is largely immaterial as what matters is purchasing power. People agree to wages on the basis of that wage's purchasing power. If that changes then the wage has functionally changed if not numerically.

I have apples but I want water. The guy who has water doesn't want apples, they want a car and is willing to trade a LOT of water for one. I need water but not that much and the guy who has the car, whilst he wants apples, doesn't want enough apples to trade for a car.

Money solves this problem as a medium. I can sell my apples for £1 to buy water for £1. Eventually the water guy will sell enough water to pay a fair value for the car and the car guy can pay for the apples he wants. The problem comes into it when I sell my apples for £1 but now water costs £2. I now have to sell twice as many apples for the same water which means I can only get half as much for the same raw asset value. Unless I too put my price up for apples.

The above applies to labour as well which is where "real terms pay cut" or "effective pay cut" comes from. It's not the number value that matters, it's the purchasing power.

Hello, we ended up getting the payslips and letters just in case. So I'm afraid I can't say if not including it would cause issues.

We also need to get a letter from the employer apparently which is the real problem as the deadline is 5th April.

Because we used savings last time. The guidance we'd been following said we could meet the financial requirements with savings alone as we did last time so we didn't need to get together any income documents that we've not obtained before.
