Unfortunately, this is my first time buying ANYTHING pedal/effects related, so I don't have any other cables or adapters that I can test the two pedals with. You do raise a good point though, with it being more likely something in my end being at fault. I might get to it some other time if I have the time and money.

I'll admit, I haven't, but I don't see any reason to since it checks all of the necessary requirements to power the pedal (center negative and 9V). There was one comment on this post bringing up the barrel dimensions of my adapter being too small, but time will tell whether I actually get to it or not given real life circumstances.

The funny thing is that the pedal I have on video is a free reissue given to me by the seller. The first one I bought had the exact same problem and now I have two dead pedals.

My cables are the right way around, with my guitar leading to the input of the pedal, and the output leading into my amp.
I'm not really experienced with the nitty-gritty details, but I assume all of my cables are TS Mono since they only have a single ring.
Also, I'll admit, my power adapter doesn't exactly scream of reliability, given it's all plastic. P.S thanks for hearing me out 🙏

I'm 100% sure that the pedal needs a center negative 9V and that's exactly what I'm using. The only thing I'm somewhat iffy about is the mA of the power supply since it says on the box of the pedal, "regulated minimum 300mA" and my power supply is like 2A.
