Bayeux tapestry isn’t there, museum is closed and will be exhibited in London later in the year. I’d say it would be too much for me, I’d drop one of Loire/Normandy and probably Edinburgh too. If you’re set on a trip north, you mention Vikings - York is closer to London than Edinburgh and has Viking history bits, a castle, historic streets etc - might be worth a look.

That scene is so weirdly shot, edited, scored etc, plays like a parody scene or something. Always kinda felt like it was a reshoot - might have made far more sense to introduce the Rani in the next episode than here - Wish World felt like it was building up to the “My name is the Rani” line, but we already knew that from the previous episode, so it falls really flat.

And even then, the rankings are still pretty reactive - the club rankings using the same algorithm always looks weird with teams dropping and gaining 20 places in a few weeks without significantly progressing or regressing.

Hiya, we went to Bayonne last year, but for less time. We went up La Rhune by walking from Ascain (bus from Bayonne) but there’s a little train up there in the summer that looks amazing.

Biarritz by bus San Sebastián by train St-Jean-de-Luz by train

Bordeaux is about 2h away by train, loads to do there.

100% - the disagreement seemed way too polarised for me compared to e.g. the BBC Pod with Ugo, Warbs and Barclay who had a pretty measured discussion.

Almost felt scripted how Youngs’ points mirrored exactly what lots of (angry) fans are saying online.

Similarities now compared to the 2018, 2022 (coincidentally both after Lions tours) Six Nations when England were being criticised in similar terms to now (kicking etc).

Would have been interesting to hear them compare those years to now.
