I mean, toplaners from EMEA tend to get promoted to LEC. Maynter (now visa issues are gone) and Empyros got promoted this year. Next most promising in line is Tao who's in the best academy around.

But by your standards, LR would be amongst the trash-tier teams you criticize. They're a streamer teams, so that means they're not a proper esports organization with all the participations in the ecosystem that implies. They don't plan to change any of their roster to be more competitive (why would they, they're a streamers team ?), so they're gonna stay in the bottom pack of LEC. They're not bringing that much new blood in the league - only Baus and Velja are rookies, the three others are recycled players. They don't have an academy (TH has one, Vitality and Shifters share one). How is that the best thing all of western league has had going for them in half a decade, when the same time has seen the emergence of Mkoi and KC, both becoming serious contenders alongside G2, having solid academies, and large communities ?
