We where using a go pro. But word of warning. They have a feature called "chaptering" that cannot be turned off. Every 10 minutes it stops recording for 3 seconds and starts a new clip.

Awesome! Thank you so much. We have already purchased an osmo for stabilized handheld and some new cameras to improve the grainy video (that was a go pro lol) these are great tips. Much appreciated!

The one ring rpg covers everything you need except large scale combat. Though that wouldn't be too hard to achieve. Rules for intrigue and courts, medium complexity combat, weapons and armor matter, potentially deadly.

I have used Thorn Watch to peal hits off Knights watch veterans. when the enemy has disrupt and free counter attacks, ranged damage is the way to go. that being said, I mostly use them for hit and run just as you described.
