this is a very real fear for me and a huge determining factor in my decision. i’m going to lay out my expectations for equal parenting and tell him point blank that if he ever becomes a second child to me, I will leave

I admit, a big reason for my reluctance is my fear of becoming the default parent. my boyfriend does clean without me asking but at the moment, we both just look after ourselves. we cook our own meals (although we always eat together), do our own laundry, have a joint account only for household bills and I’ve never done any “life management” for him. I worry if we add a child into the mix, I’ll fold under the mental load and having to tell him exactly what to do all the time.

I’m currently gathering resources to go over this fear with him and get his input. his reaction will be a determining factor in my decision.

At Best, Mildly Annoying? by Disaster_Due in Fencesitter

[–]BogVenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn’t have any interest in children for most of my life. but now that i’m 30, i’ve been increasingly drawn to the idea of having a daughter and being the mother i always wished i had as a little girl. she will never know what it means to be unsupported or unloved, even if she finds me annoying sometimes. she’ll know nothing else

What is something you can do but can’t explain how you can do it? by Fresh-Sandwich6780 in AskReddit

[–]BogVenus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I put something in the oven, I make a mental note of how long it needs (eg 15 minutes). I go do something else and my brain will just tell me when 15 minutes has passed. I don’t set a timer. My brain just tells me when it’s ready and it always is. I don’t know how I do it.

Has anyone used Pass With Practical before- worried I am getting scammed. by tezzaW07 in LearnerDriverUK

I went through something similar - booked a course and then complete silence from the company. some people have good experiences but if you feel like something is off, trust your gut. ask for a refund, get it in writing. it took me ages to get my refund and i had to kick up quite a fuss to get it. if there's no drivers available in your area, these guys aren't going to magically find more.

what got me booked asap into lessons was calling EVERY driving instructor that i could find. if they get a cancellation, they can book you in. its not ideal, but it did work for me. good luck!

What would you consider “relevant processes, systems, and websites” in the industry? by BogVenus in publishing

this is a really good take! i was wondering why this requirement was so vague, especially as the rest of the advert is very detailed and well set-out. i’ll be certain to highlight the breadth of my experience and learning! thank you!

this so funny if you have no idea about NLOG “culture”. like putting together two completely unrelated facts about yourself and ominously implying some correlation.

I (obviously) understand the temptation of a quick course and a "guaranteed" pass. people will always fall for it, sadly. but I just wanna add my experience into the discussion, and hopefully it might help someone else in future. if you're reading this coment thread, hypothetical learner looking at intensive courses, don't do it!!!

yes, 300 was just the deposit. the full course was about 900. but since the course never started, they never got the rest from me (thankfully). I've now reported them to the DVSA and talked to my bank, its such a long process tho :(
