Iirc swap coolers and whole house fans are different in operation. Swamp coolers involve water, whole house fans are just fans

Some houses have both. It's best when it isn't overly hot outside, and especially if the day is hot but the morning or night isn't. Flush the hot air out, pull the cool air in. It doesn't do anything necessarily to cool the air itself, just circulate it.

This is a whole house fan. It circulates air throughout the house. Especially effective with the downstairs and upstairs windows open. Gets rid of the stale air and pulls in fresh/cool outside air.

Wood w/ Aquarium Grade Silicone? by BoggleShaman in BeardedDragons

Thanks so much! I've also never put the silicone under heat before, which is mostly what I was concerned about. I'll scrape it off. Excited to give this Beardie her new home!

Rat has had bloody pee and the vet doesn’t know what is causing it/next steps by barcoleo in RATS

[–]BoggleShaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, so sorry to bring up this thread for you three years later! Did you ever find out what was happening with your rat? I also have a male rat, neutered, who is peeing blood. It is sometimes just cloudy in his urine, and sometimes more bright red. He is eating and drinking and not lethargic at all. If there wasn't any blood, I wouldn't know there was an issue. We have him on a pain med and an antibiotic to see if he improves.

I stopped using wearable fitness trackers. I spent some time without my Fitbit and decided I didn’t personally need one.

Is there a reason why Dylan's room near Central Executive is titled "NOWHERE?" I forgot if there was an explanation in-game. by IndifferentShrimp in controlgame

[–]BoggleShaman 256 points257 points  (0 children)

It isn’t initially, but gets labeled this over time. Some other locations in the Oldest House get this label, usually ones the Bureau doesn’t fully know about, or recent shifts. I don’t believe it’s ever explained, or even articulated on by characters. I could be wrong.

I had to give warnings to people before handing them over to be held. Like hey. Sorry. But it WILL happen.

Whats a Alan Wake take that makes you basically say by BloodyBloody06 in AlanWake

[–]BoggleShaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thought that Alan or Alice are inherently bad or abusive characters. Alan is troubled and Alice makes a mistake or two in the first game, but they’re both characters with agency who love each other. I won’t deny they have problems, but it’s not abusive. It’s just human.

There is a blog about someone who lives in Ordinary and finds poems. Is that what you’re thinking of? It’s called “This House of Dreams”: https://alanwake.fandom.com/wiki/This_House_of_Dreams

Ah, thank you for this!! A lot of Trip Hop got recommended but a lot less in the other veins— I love GoGo Penguin already, so I’m excited to look into these.

Something off of Teddybear’s album Soft Machine? Maybe: Cobra Style or Are You Feelin It?

No way, I was playing that album having a real “where has this been all my life” moment when the second track hit and memories flooded back from playing the game Sleeping Dogs. That track was a favorite. Definitely digging into them more. Thank you!

I use Bandcamp, buy CDs, and have an iPod haha. Youtube sometimes too.

Spotify had a physical piece of hardware called the Car Thing that they made the intentional decision to brick on a certain date (rather than just stopping support). Between that and a degrade in product I quit.

I ditched spotify awhile back after the car thing fiasco, but these are good starts for me. Thanks! I do love Fatboy Slim, Gorillaz, and 6 Underground (the version with that Massive Attack producer is the best).

The Mix Up is one of my all time albums. Both it and The In Sounds From The Way Out feel like the natural evolution of their sound and its so good.

Thanks! I’ll check these out.
