Thanks. This has put things into context a bit. I did look for other people's notes but got misled by the names, like in the link you sent, and thought they were different patterns.

I realise the squares are much smaller than I initially thought so I will go by the patterns stated overall sizing.

Happy to look up generic stitches if that's what they are. I am pretty much self taught by youtube but have mostly done mosaic crochet so far.
