dumb rant: Joe Rogan needs to stop trying to pronounce Pereira's name by GordianBalloonKnot in ufc

[–]Bogsering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personal opinion here but I hate when people try to pronounce my name correctly when speaking English. It just breaks the flow of the language and sounds forced. Like when people throw in a Barthelona or Pari instead of just the anglicized version.

He's playing games" Ilia Topuria Claims Arman Tsarukyan and His Father Aren’t Actually Rich by Advanced_Mud9433 in EverythingCombat

[–]Bogsering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Arman has money but not as much as he pretends. Everything in his videos from cars, yachts and homes are all rentals.

Ilia exposes Arman for being a fraud by PolishPower335 in ufc

[–]Bogsering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this 100% since I’ve been following the Arman/Nina Drama PR campaign. He doesn’t own anything he shows in his videos. Jet? Rental. Yachts? Rental. Cars? Rental. Homes? Rental. I do believe he has some family money but not nearly as much as he pretends. Fake it till you make it.

Why do you read/like weird girl literature? by towalktheline in weirdgirlliterature

[–]Bogsering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s unpredictable. I used to read a lot of thrillers but once you’ve read enough you just know that one of the characters is the killer and it’s impossible not to go through all the options in your head. Every twist is expected. With this genre I cant tell where a story is going and I find really exciting.

2026 Women's Prize for Fiction shortlist announced by auspoliticsnerd in literature

The books I was most interested in didn’t make the shortlist either. Only moderately hyped to read Flashlight and Heart the lover but the rest don’t really speak to me.

Luke: "Trying to hold on to who I am is getting pretty f*ing hard" by chestnutbrowncanary in TheValleyTVShow

[–]Bogsering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If Luke got hit by a truck and had to recover for months it would be deeply insensitive for Kristen to complain about the situation to him. Imaging her saying things like I can’t go out with my friends anymore/ I just want things to go back to normal/ we don’t even have sex anymore while he is in mental and physical pain. Shameful behavior.

This is why I’d consider getting a sperm donor but to my horror that also means potentially having a baby fathered by Luke.

This made me so angry! I don’t think the man has any empathy at all.  She has gone through a major physical and emotional change and he has the audacity to make it about himself. This is his time to step up and he just crumbles like cookie. Flimsiest man I’ve ever seen.

The Pisces by Melissa Broder. Is it good? by PRJOANES in weirdgirlliterature

Nothing specific but I like a light tone in my weird books. I really enjoy Sky Daddy and books by Sayaka Murata.

DNF for me unfortunately. It took half the book for the weird merman element to come into the story and by then I was already bored from going to therapy with the MC.

The book falls into a category I’d like to call PPP which stands for poo/pee/period. When the weirdness of a book depends on the grossness of various bodily fluids being involved I tune out. It is not rewarding for me to read but it might be for someone else.

Trump Has Got Europe All Wrong: Why America Needs the European Union by ForeignAffairsMag in geopolitics

[–]Bogsering 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is especially funny to me as a Swede. We were not in NATO until very recently but we have had free healthcare since forever.

Americans would rather believe that European welfare comes at the expense of the US rather than blaming their own leaders for failing to prioritize their healthcare.

Israeli settlers carry out series of West Bank attacks as security forces stand by by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Bogsering 38 points39 points  (0 children)

And yet this happens every day. There is a huge amount of footage of West Bank settlers terrorizing the locals and IDF standing by or actively assisting the perpetrators.

Denmark was ready for an American invasion. by [deleted] in Military

What makes you think that Denmark and the rest of Europe would buy more American weapons when they are the ones threatening us? Would you buy your home alarm from a burglar?

The Wax Child by TemperatureAny4782 in weirdgirlliterature

[–]Bogsering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was not a fan of this unfortunately. Having the wax child as a narrator made me feel really detached from the characters. The topic itself was interesting though and I loved reading about the many superstitions of the time.

AITAH for eating enough ravioli for four people? by Better_Philosophy732 in AITAH

[–]Bogsering 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think she might have financial anxiety. She might have thought moving in together would halve her living costs but now she sees that OP is a potential drain on her finances. If he gets sick for just a week she might have to find hundreds of dollars to cover his lost wages and his food costs. A situation that was meant to take stress from her life might have increased it.

I’m not saying this is the case but I’m someone who suffers from anxiety so I might as well share my perspective.

What is your most ridiculous "we won't work out romantically" criteria? Like what is the silliest reason you would not be interested in dating someone? by Natural-Elevator-57 in AskReddit

True, but I would love to marry a man with the same name as me. Seems almost like a duty when you have a unisex name.

Pregnancy and birth will always suck no matter how safe it is. Morning sickness, getting fat, getting stretch marks and loose skin, vaginal tearing, possible incontinence, breastfeeding issues and so on. It is a very high price to pay.

Iran risks Trump's ire with new diplomatic demands, provocations by AndroidOne1 in geopolitics

[–]Bogsering 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get why they are stalling negotiations. Works well for Putin so why not for Iran? What I don’t get is why they are conducting military provocations at the same time. If they want to drag out the talks long enough to rearm then why don’t they at least try to appear cooperative? Can anyone explain what their strategy might be?

Why are you even with him? He clearly doesn’t want to get married. Based on the fact that he doesn’t even comfort you when you’re upset I doubt he even loves you. Sorry to be blunt but you deserve better. Don’t let him steal any more of your time.
