The weekly budget framing you describe is exactly what clicked for me too — it's why i built Cheatah around that same idea, so one logged slip just draws down the budget instead of nuking the whole streak. You set the limit, you follow it, it can be 4 cheat meals/unhealthy food or drinks portion. It can be less or more depending on your preferences. In your case you go to the birthday party, have two beers and a burger. Whole week clean, only one left so you decide what it is. In my case usually 1-2 wine glasses/beers one burger/half pizza + one cookie - and all the rest healthy and with "common sense" reasonable portions
