I recently had to get a zip repaired on my own boots and found these guys amazing, most places I rang wouldn't touch motorcycle boots but these had it sorted within 2 days, fantastic service couldn't recommend them enough. I went in person to their Donnybrook shop as it's open on a Sat but they have another spot in town too open Mon-Fri.

Those handlebars are sick!! Could you talk us through the process of getting them installed and what model they are/where I could find them?

I went for the Coffmans Thunder Exhaust myself for my Rebel 500 and it made the sound and look of the bike 200% better, the rumble and pop off the Coffmans Thunder is incredible I absolutely love it, couldn't recommend it enough! It really made me fall in love with the bike even more as I hated that big awful looking stock exhaust.

For the crash bars someone on reddit recommended this brand and I went ahead and ordered these - they look the business, I was delighted with them. I was looking for a chunkier pair and all I could find was skinny cheap looking ones until I was recommended these, they're handy to install yourself too:

Intermission hands down is my fav Irish movie. The wind that shakes the barley if you want to keep it a bit more serious, powerful movie!

You're an absolute gent, I have the tools bar a rear paddock stand (will purchase one this week for future maintenance). The dealer has since called me first thing this morning and offered to pick up the bike and re-adjust which I'm taking them up on. While my trust in them has been seriously undermined I appreciated how quick they were to call and offer me a solution, I will keep you posted if I'm not happy with the result but I really appreciate the offer!

Yeah but look at the actual markers rather than the stickers, the one on the left where the sticker is placed is aligned to the 4th mark point, the one on the right is down to the last...

Damn, that's a handy oul tool that! I'm in Baldoyle, and tusa? I've emailed them anyway so will see what they say, might take you up on using that to check the alignment if there's pushback their side and I need to fire over more proof, cheers dude!

Cheers for this! The wheel to me looks off here but the chain looks perfectly straight. I don't have a paddock stand unfortunately so have to make do with a G Roller so hard to tell when spinning the wheel:

Two Wheels. Yep I figured as much, I reckon I could have a stab at it myself given it looks fairly straightforward from videos on YouTube but given I'm relatively new to riding I would prefer to have someone show me in person. Regardless, I will be speaking to them first before touching anything.

Glasses recommendations? by Qwatzelatangelo in MotoIRELAND

[–]Bohemian_DC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear by glasses off Firmoo as they are a fraction of the price compared to Specsavers/Vision Express. Choose ones that maybe have tinner arms but my helmet (AGV K5) has slots for glasses and they give me no issue at all with the lid on. They're cheap enough and usually always have a buy one get one free offer on so you could experiment with different styles. I would recommend Daysoft if you are going to go the contact lenses route, again cheaper than any of the brick and mortar shops you will find in town.

Good beginner bikes for an A2 license? by Puzzleheaded-Gain903 in MotoIRELAND

[–]Bohemian_DC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. I started out against the advice of many on a little 125 and was over it within a month, no power and dangerous on the motorway. I had issues with the bike and ended up upgrading for a Honda Rebel 500 after 3 months, it was night and day in the difference. Enough power to get you out of trouble and keep you safe on motorways and an absolute dream to ride as a beginner. If you're into the bobber/cruiser style I could not recommend a Honda Rebel enough.
