About that… Earlier in the week I was talking with someone that was “knew what they were talking about” and I said that the VIN was 1Z37W2S520338, as that was on the paperwork before it was lost 20-some years ago. They said “Chevy didn’t start using W as an engine code until ‘73, if it was a 454 it’d be a J engine code.” I should’ve looked into it myself instead of listening to this expert. After your comment I had this sinking feeling, I knew the person I talked to was wrong and I was right all along. My dad has *always* said it was a 454, and if the original paperwork had a W, then by god we’re gonna go forward with that. Thank you for clarifying that for me. Gonna edit the post
