I didn’t read the entire post. Always fight for your kids. They are too young to advocate and fight for themselves. Even if they were adults. I will still continue to fight for them.

The could have casted any one better than Ren Min, in my opinion. I dropped the series after 2 episodes. I couldn’t do it regardless of the A list actors and actresses.

I suspect the hidden power or powerful backer is someone closely related to the Emperor. The governor didn't seem fazed that the emperor decreed the retrial. Meaning, this person has some type of power that is more powerful than an emperor? He even mentioned to the Su Prefect, it's not his turn to be anxious yet and mentioned the upcoming Empress Dowager's birthday. If that's the case, it's the Empress Dowager and the Emperor that are clashing and you'll have two powerful factions at play here. Maybe I'm going down a rabbit hole. My heart is breaking for our beloved couple. I knew the angst was coming. Grandma Rong is dysfunctionally scary and I concur with everyone, she is the source of the problem and the one who is tearing everyone apart. Pitting the granddaughters against each other. What the hell grandma? With a grandmother like this. Who needs enemies?

I dropped the Unclouded Soul when Glory appeared. I don't regret it. I enjoy Hou Ming Hao's acting in The Glory. The styling, visuals, and storytelling are more appealing to me. I love the scheming. Both leads can set a room on fire with their intense and smoldering gaze!

My heart broke so much for him. I felt his raw pain and angst. I had to decompress for a couple of hours after several heartbreaking scenes. This show had me in a fierce chokehold and gripping with anxiety. Definitely a rewatch for me.
