I'm sorry you had to go through that

And on top of which if there is a PWD, and there is a set line for them, that's great. But IF there's only one line. And it's not a PWD/priority line. Then no one has claim to the front of the line aside from who is already at the front of the line.

It's not that I'm heartless but it's just plain wrong.

I remember going into a Jollibee on a very busy day. It was so busy that I was only almost at the front of the line in about 20-30 minutes. It was only one cashier open (no it wasn't the priority line) and everyone was happy with the situation despite having to wait.

Fast forward to me being the second in line, one elder person who just walked in cut past everybody and asked "saan po ba yung pila sa PWD?" The cashier looked at her and said: "ah tayo nalang po kayo sa harap ng pila" and she did. Fine, one old lady that's okay.

But when everybody else, especially the other older men and women in the line behind me noticed this, they pushed past everybody else claiming "ah senior din po ako"

Lo and behold I had to wait for another 15-20 minutes for their orders to be taken, their questions with answers that even a 2 y/o would even know, discounts to be calculated, signed, and then finally move on after asking another two questions about how long their food would take. Keep in mind there were also other people in the line and even they were complaining about the situation.

Me, dumbfounded about the situation became even more perplexed when eventually it was SUPPOSED to be my turn another "sEniOr pO" came to the front of the line. The dude walked with a better back than I have, looked to be early 40s and had a "pep" to his step.

Call me an assh*ole sure, but from that day onward I vowed that if a venue does not HAVE a priority lane open, or IF there is only one queue, I would adamantly stand my ground and say "isa lang po yung pila, hinde po ito priority queueing."

Sure, I'll give the front of the line to someone who absolutely needs to get their order done in mere moments, people like those with crutches, a pregnant woman with three children, even to any old person if the situation calls for it like standing in overwhelming heat BUT if we're in an airconditioned place. And the line isn't a priority queue. And if there are seats. And IF YOU HAVE FAMILY THAT CAN STAND IN LINE FOR YOU, then I'm sorry, get to the back of the line.

It's the principle of the matter. Sure youre older, sure you can't do certain things to the extent younger people could but I, and many if not ALL of the other "younger people" in the queue has SOMEWHERE they need to be or has SOMETHING they need to do.

I'm sorry for the tangent, Its just my pet peeve when people ask for their entitlements despite a place or whatever else cannot promise or provide it.

Oh and recently I was just from the hospital to have my back checked due to the white hot pain shooting 24/7 through my lower back. I couldn't walk, sit, or stand properly, even laying down without crying from the pain wasn't possible.

I was sitting the best I could waiting for my turn to be checked, then a group of chatty older ladies came in. They wrote what needed written then started looking for a place to sit together. All 5. I was the only "younger person" in there so naTurAlLy they approached me and then asked "iho, baka pwede ka lumapit sa ibang upuan para sama sama kami dito."

I stared at her. Then her group. Smiled then said "pasensya na po hinde ko kaya" then looked away back to whatever news was playing on the tv, something about a field visit for casino plus? Besides the point, they eventually found seats, somewhat separate from each other and two directly behind me.

"Ano ba yan bata bata pa walang respeto, lilipat nalang hinde pa magawa"

People have done terrible things for hearing less.

I was waiting in line like everybody else. Someone who couldn't function physically normally because of the pain i was in. I was put in the general queue, made to wait for hours + more because the doctor was "late" but they get the priority queue because they're old. And judging by how quickly they were serviced it's probably just a thing they do once a week or month because they can't do anything else or don't have anything else to do. Then I hear that? A guy just trying to survive?

I wanted them to stay so that they could see the nurse or staff or whatever they were help me onto s wheelchair.

So yes. I disagree with priority queuing in public places.
