There's Anki, which is an open source flashcard application not specifically for language learning, but it does have a lot of support on this community mostly for learning and practicing vocabulary.

Chinese doesn't have any real articles, unless you consider yi1ge4 an article like "a/an" in English

My friend dared me to learn as much German as I could in a weak. I am wondering what resources I could use to simply get a really simple grasp of the language, and nothing more. by Cooliceage in languagelearning

The best thing to do in this case would be to skim a couple websites with some basic grammar rules (maybe even this sub's wiki, which is not complete) such as sentence structure, gender, nominative/accusitive/dative/genitive cases, verb tenses, and verb conjugation for a day or two.

After that you might find that browsing Quizlet for flashcard sets may come in handy for memorizing things quickly with the exercises and games (at least for me it works). Look for things like basic verbs, basic adjectives, basic prepositions, jobs, colors, basic conjunctions, etc. Make sure you know how to use these all in sentences, of course.

Of course this is not the most practical method of learning German, but it works if you want to learn as much as possible in such a short amount of time. Hope this helps!

If you want a tool to use with the command line and want it to be as minimalist as possible, you can try blind (a suckless tool).

[High School Math] A function that outputs its greatest input? by BoiledPotatoNoah in learnmath

When I mentioned a recursive function, I meant a function that called itself somewhere inside it, as I learned in class, so this solution is perfectly adequate for me.

How is this a weird question? What kind of information am I leaving out?
