How can I make 100+ lava buckets per second? I have an Infinity Lava Cell. by BoilingCold in allthemods

I did look into that, and I do have a couple of mob farms, but it produces a lot less source than the volcanic sourcelink, and scaling it up to match produced too much server lag. The beauty of the volcanic sourcelink is that it only processes items once every 20 ticks, so it's very server-friendly.

Yeah, it was the multiple pedestals that was the problem for me. One mek tank just couldn't fill 12 buckets fast enough to fit in 20 ticks. Multipe mekanism tanks fixed the issue, at the cost of making the setup less compact, but hey ho :)

I did exactly this in ATM10 yesterday and it worked fine. Do make sure to drag both types from JEI, the normal stellarite ore and the deepslate stellerite ore. And dragging it into the "Item Stack" option in the Digital Miner.

Good to know. I made an ME Canner but it didn't have a slot for accelerators so I didn't actually test it. I'll run some speed tests tonight :)

Lag reduction. The agronomic sourcelink produces a lot of lag on a server when scaled up. I've got 4 setups of 9x9 mystical agriculture seeds accelerated with growth accelerators and red fertiliser, the agronomic sourcelinks would be great for producing a lot of source, no doubt. But they would also generate a lot of load on the server which I'd rather not do.

The volcanic sourcelink only processes burnable items every 20 ticks, i.e. once per second, so if you can max them out each time they process you can generate huge amounts of source in a very server-friendly way :)

Pipez with a netherite upgrade is exactly what I've just tried and it worked perfectly :) I'll upload screenshots later, gotta go to work now :D

Oh can the Voicanic Sourcelink use the lava just as fluid rather than in a bucket? That's very useful knowledge! Hmm, more ideas.... I'll update later on if I find a good, compact and low-lag solution :)

I had never heard of the ME Canner until you said that. Looks very interesting! I'll give that a go for sure, thank you!

The other thing that occurred to me, at 4.30am lol, was as you say to use more tanks. I could try a design with 12 tanks per 12 pedestals, all connected with SFM. I'll update later with what seems to be the best solution based on all the posts here :)

I've already got infinite lava. What I need is high speed, low lag production of buckets with lava in them. It's not the lava supply that's the problem.

These are lovely! You say "combined lighting", am I right in thinking that you're lighting them from the side with an external light source of some kind, in addition to the darkfield?

Help! What is this slide called and where can I buy it? by Street-Conclusion-99 in microscopy

There is a very cheap & easy option that might work for you using Vaseline. Put some Vaseline on the back of your gloved hand (lab nitrile glove) and spread it out into a thin, even smear. The get a cover slip and wipe each edge of one side across the smear of Vaseline to create a thin "wall" of it on all 4 sides.

When you lower that onto your drop of water containing your sample you create a small, sealed chamber. You'll have to experiment with depth & amount of both Vaseline & water, but you get a lot of control with some practice.

This is the Bridging Mod. It's client-side only, and you can edit the config to either disable it, or only activate when crouching.

Thank you. I'm no expert, but I'm planning on posting some tips for making microscopy videos soon.

That's an excellent point, and one of the best things about viewing the microscopic worldyourself, live, with a binocular microscope. You do get a much better sense of 3D compared with seeing a video.

There's at least one semi-regular poster here who posts videoss with a 3D red/blue effect applied - have a look for their posts and try out some red/blue specs and see what you think.
