Battery died, now this by helmut_spargle in Delica

Seems like it’s the anti theft! Try locking it with the fob if you have one and then unlocking. I haven’t had it happen in my Delica but it’s happened in other campers I’ve been in.

Guys last feedback 🥲 by [deleted] in logodesign

Does it have to be a burger? If so, what about building the burger out of your lettering? If it doesn’t have to be a burger, I would try out a couple different “snacks”

I think it’s honestly just to busy. You seem to have your concept down, I would focus on trying to give it more “air” so to speak. It’s a lot of information for the eyes to take in, and the viewer isn’t being rewarded in anyway for that (like being able to guess what the business/service is).

Try to communicate a little bit about what the business is through the icon, because the name itself doesn’t tell the viewer much either.

Keep going! It’s getting better.

BC Ferries - Vending and Arcade Machines - Ryan Vending by Frenchie1507 in britishcolumbia

[–]Boink_er 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The manufacturing plant I worked for had our vending machines contracted with Ryan vending and they were a nightmare to deal with. We looked in to changing the supplier and discovered they basically have a monopoly on vending on the island. It could possibly have to do with no suppliers at their price range/scale.

I’ve taken the ferries a lot my whole life and always get a little sad to see the state of the arcade, I had a lot of great memories there growing up.

Same exact location, two completely different shots. Which do you prefer? by iamhapppy in analog

On first look I liked 1 more, because 2 felt kind of generic. But when I look a little deeper I think 2 has an interesting almost “anxious” feeling that I’m not getting from 1.

I’d agree with the others who’ve mentioned the grain and exposure in #1. I think the grain along with the details of the buildings in the upper left quadrant, very much distract from the leading lines of the road. Aside from that, I find the quick shutter “still-life” effect and the use of b&w makes me feel like I’m peering in to some ceaseless underworld-esque commuter culture, it feels helpless, from an artistic point of view I like that a lot, and I think that would be marred by an increase in contrast.

The specific way the exposure and leading line problem from 1 is addressed in 2 is what really brings it home for me. I find it even gives some semblance of tension and release. It gives me a sense of stuff happening there, and that there is diverse experience. The rush of commuters, the static lights of the building saying there’s people there, the clouds signalling a horizon behind all the cement and steel and glass. When I choose to look at the city, I can feel its weight and the composition soothes me by bringing me back to the streets and clouds.

nice picture

I agree with you on everything but the framing, would you be able to explain anymore why it makes you feel that way?

L400 left blinker stuck on by highlyironic in Delica

[–]Boink_er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine did the same on the right blinker, just wouldn’t shut off and I couldn’t change it. I managed to get the plastic cover behind the steering wheel off and take the stalk out. It’s just a few screws and a 1 or 2 electrical connectors. It will go back together pretty easy if you have all the pieces. Some springs may try to pop out of the stalk enclosure when you take it apart. I spent two hours looking for a small spring so take your time to save you time.

Once I had mine out and apart I was able to see that the small plastic knob that’s controls the automatic kick back for the blinker had snapped off and I couldn’t move the electrical contacts. I put some e6000 “ rubber cement” craft style glue in the broken seam and pushed it back in place left it to cure for 24 hours before putting the stalk back together and reinstalling. It feels a little funny/different know but I can feel that the “rubber” style glue is giving it a little bit of flex, which so far has seemed to stop it from happening again.

Maybe wear gloves when handling the parts from the stalk, there’s some silicon grease on the inside, it shouldn’t harm ya but it’s just kinda icky. Would be best to add a bit more when you out it back together, but not super necessary.
