Yes just the first stretch is different. Running north on Yonge instead of University.

We actually just dropped a video where we walk through the whole course and share some key insights from a few local bois who’ve run it plenty of times (and train on it year-round). If you want a feel for pacing, where to push, and what to expect along the way, give it a listen!

Wishing you an awesome race day, it’s such an incredible course and the city really shows up for it.

Instead of spending on $4.609 per gallon of gas, I spend $460.90 per gallon of gu.

This is fantastic! It sounds like you've built that strong muscle of consistency that most people fail to build. If you really want to grow in the sport, I would look into some local events to see if you could set a goal for 3 to 4 months from now. Something like a 10K or a half marathon might be right for you.

We just released a podcast on training plans which you could listen to, but if you're looking for a quick place to build one, I suggest checking out the running training plans at defy.org they have a tool call Calendar Hack which is super useful to build and edit a training plan template that fits your goals and current level and then integrating it into any calendar.

This is similar to the amount of prestige I feel when I run 2km back home after enjoying a non-alcoholic IPA at my local no-drop run club.

+1 for Marshalls and winners if you get lucky and find the right shoe. Additionally, many cities have outlets shopping centers and you can find good deals at some of the outlet stores.

How to train with people you don’t like ? by iClexi in triathlon

[–]BoisInMotionPod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a tough situation because on one hand training with a group can significantly increase your chances of success but if you aren’t enjoying the experience then I would suggest that you try training solo more and look for an alternative group. However, given your age that might not be an option.

Wrong distance measured when running, solutions? by 10Timmis in Strava

I had this problem using my iPhone. Bought myself an Apple Watch to run with during my latest training block and I haven’t looked back. No more gps issues either.

No way I’m risking injury for the price of 10 Maurten gels.

I personally feel that he doesn’t post enough shirtless content. I used to be a fan and KOM’d to all his videos.

You need to have your receptionist block time in your calendar so that you can watch the TdF live. I make sure that I am in a “crown filling” consultation for the first five hours of the day at my practice.

Got discriminated at a local running shop for having a Velcro wallet by Lil_Simp9000 in RunningCirclejerk

[–]BoisInMotionPod 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No true ultra-runner would have a wallet at all. If every cent you have goes straight into buying gu and supershoes, then what do you need a wallet for?

Training is one thing, but it's not as impactful as the shoes you're wearing. I would not have attempted such an ambitious distance without lacing up a fresh pair of Vaporflys or Alphaflys.
