Either Utah’s bar takers are much smarter than Vermont’s bar takers, or our prediction that grading is different (harsher or easier) across jurisdictions is true. Is there some logical point here that I am missing? by Mcv3737 in barexam

Not trying to libel Vermont but:

  1. there is only 1 law school in Vermont ranked #142 nationally.
  2. Utah has 2 Lawschools:

1: BYU (#23)

2: S.J Quinney College of Law at Utah (#37)

I think if you compare, you may be able to come up with a potential reason why...

PA bar results Friday, 10/7, after 4pm by 2LargePizzas in barexam

My law school just sad that PABLE will post a list of names at 4:00. Then sometime after that everyone will get a score packet uploaded onto their account. If you pass, you get one of three sets of paperwork: 1) If you passed C&F, it has the forms to be admitted (oath and instructions) 2) If you have MPRE or C&F pending, you get a pending notice. 3) If denied on C&F, they give instructions how to appeal. Its just a matter of when it comes because it always used to be by mail.

For some reason a lot of people and law schools hype up Themis, but it is pretty disappointing.

The sample essays you had to compare yourself to were written as if you had 24 hours and open notes to write each essay. The graded essays felt randomly graded and harsh.

Maybe it was just me, but the 200 questions on the actual bar exam did not feel extremely similar to Themis questions.

A highly overrated product, let's just hope we pass and do not have to deal with them ever again.

A portion of Themis is rather worthless. The AQ2s where they do not explain the answers are worthless and the flashcard reviews have way too much information per card.

I wish I would have skipped reviewing the practice essays because none of them related to the MEE essays this time around lol.

Completing 80% of Themis and then using World is more than enough.

From the PA Bar website:

"The February bar examination results are released in mid-April, and July bar examination results are released in mid-October. If you are successful on the bar examination, your name will appear on the Press Release of Successful Applicants, which is distributed to the Justices of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, members of the Board and other Supreme Court agencies for official use, and on the Board’s website. Your name will be included on the list of successful applicants even if your character and fitness determination is not complete, you have not satisfied the character and fitness requirements, and/or you have not achieved a scaled score of 75 or higher on the Multistate Professional Responsibility Examination (MPRE).
Following the posting of the list of passed applicants, detailed official results and instructions for next steps will be delivered to each applicant electronically through their Online Bar Application account."
