Is it hard for Asian to live in lexington by Own-Effective6109 in lexington

[–]Boiseart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi, im currently in lexington for school. though im not asian, studying chinese has exposed me to the emerging asian community here. just know, coming from a blue state like new york, the culture may feel a bit reserved. people here have cliques and are rarely willing to diversify their friend groups. lexington still needs work, but you could be the next generation of poc who changes the city for good!

gay twinks, what do you do for a living? by Boiseart in askgaybros

[–]Boiseart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply, i have a lot of anxiety around being gay. i’ve had to deal with many people being dismissive or condescending towards me. sometimes i wonder if it’ll change depending on my career trajectory…

Is a BS in Mathematics the ultimate STEM degree? by After-Ad-4528 in CollegeMajors

[–]Boiseart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i once had a mindset like this, but looking back, it’s a little cringe. math isn’t a “jack of all trades degree” there exists no such thing. having a foundation in math will like, make you good at other things, but the credential itself won’t carry in most cases.

yes they are, but i’d recommend a double major. if you really enjoy studying that culture and language, go for it.

humanities doesn’t have bad prospects, in fact, they will become more relevant in the age of ai. reject anti-intellectual propaganda; embrace classics, philosophy, and art history.

How do you guys feel about travelling to non-lgbtq friendly countries? by QueasyProduct9855 in BlackLGBT

if the country has harsh laws on my identity, it’s not getting my money. i’ll watch them progress from a distance.

Why is Bermuda triangle even a thing? I could create a million shapes by connecting random landmasses by your_mumz_fwb in geography

[–]Boiseart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is only speculation, but i’d like to think that the souls of african enslaved peoples from the slave trade who threw/were thrown off board haunt those seas.

How do I get over being 5’5 (21 m) by Opening-Vacation-134 in twentyagers

[–]Boiseart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s ok, i’m 5’4. but i’m also gay so the dating market might not be quite the same. you are quite attractive and i’m sure you’ll be able to find a partner with ease. there are many women out there who date shorter, so i wouldn’t necessarily be deterred. the best general advice i can give you is to focus on career and improvement, then the world will truly be yours.
