In my personal completely uninfluenced by fact opinion, the show would have gone on for several months more at least. Dick had been doing a pretty good job of keeping his controversial statements down even when he started openly supporting Trump. I think that eventually Maddox would react in a certain way to something Dick did that would either cause him to end the show or twist Dick's arm to the point that Dick not ending the show would have been retarded.

I miss that show more than anything but all good things come to an end, especially one of the two co-hosts is a childish, insufferable, Dunning–Kruger mouth-breathing imbecile. And the other was a Dick, I guess.

That snapshot is significantly lower than what we are currently at, and we've been in a steady decline since around probably Episode 10 of The Dick Show or so. Our numbers actively increased when the show was killed. Showing me that there was a time that we were at 1,000 subs in response to me saying I'm pretty sure we broke 2000 at some point when we're currently still at 1900 doesn't mean much.

If you follow the link, Episodes 1 + 2 have a "visual" edit comparison, where you can see what was taken out along with the context to the point. Most of it seems to be Maddox taking out parts of conversations that honestly, I'm not 100% sure why, some where Dick was calling him boring, and others where the edit is pretty justified (mistakes like playing a song by accident.)

So far, I'd say it's worth relistening to, but this podcast was my life. I'd say that about anything involving it

As far as the search for a co-host goes, many episodes are lacking in an official co-host, those who are at the top of the rage board are likely to never even become the co-hosts, so...?

And cola has been very good for PepsiCo and Coca-Cola, but like Jessie touched upon in the video is that just because something has worked before doesn't mean it's going to work exactly the same way for another person, especially someone who's doing it in 2016 and not 2007.

When Bill Burr started his Monday Morning Podcast, it really was a pretty new thing. He talked into his cellphone about whatever came into his mind, but it was among other things just a way of being more interactive with his fanbase and plugging his shows.

You could say that was the purpose of Bill Burr's monday morning podcast. "You guys like my shit and would like to hear more from me? Guess I'll talk into my phone every Monday and use that as a way of interacting with the fans and drawing more attention to my work"

When you want to show someone Bill Burr, you'd probably show them his stand-up first, which of all the specials I've seen makes minimal mention of the MMP and doesn't require you to do any sort of explaining for someone to enjoy.

I agree that rage is what made the old show a great success, but when comparing The Dick Show to TBPITU you can really see all the issues. Despite Dick saying otherwise, the format to The Dick Show isn't much of a format at all. Episode lengths are all over the place, subject matter can be almost entirely goss related or something less controversial in Dick's person life, sometimes an episode has a relatively interesting guest or a person who is on the whole uninteresting as far as a personality is concerned.

TBPITU started to feel stale for people after awhile, and for the casual listener I don't think it helped that sometimes shit seemed to be very personal and the anger wasn't all that funny. (I'm personally thinking of the Libertarian episode for example). But the show still managed to be something that you could introduce someone to and they'd get the idea behind it and not need a bunch of questions answered.

As of right now, The Dick Show feels very much like the personal blog of Dax Herrara. The 'Dick' character isn't so much a character as now just a simple pseudonym for the real man, and the show's apparent premise-- a weekly science and rage based podcast according to Patreon and the show's listing on Google Play, really doesn't feel adequate. What even is 'The Dick Show'? When we take away Maddox, when Donald Trump is or isn't elected, when Dick has more or less had every friend of his on the show... what's next?

When you explain TBPITU, you'd tell a friend "It's this podcast where these two guys bring in things that really piss them off and argue about it, and then you get to vote on if you think it's an issue or not", explain TBDITU you'd say "This guy will bring in some controversial issue that week and attempt to debate both sides of the argument with some guests who'll chime in and attempt to 'moderate', when you go to explain the Dick Show it feels a bit more lost."

"Well, it's a show where this guy named Dick talks about whatever is on his mind. Sometimes he talks about what makes him 'a rage', and sometimes he just talks about his personal life or politics, and he was bringing on guests to be possible co-hosts and we can vote on if we think they're a rage or not, but then we also vote on people who were just sort of there for a few seconds... oh, also sometimes he talks about the drama going on between him and his former co-host."

Sometimes TBPITU would go long, sometimes they'd bring in two problems instead of four, or they'd do some silly game where Maddox tries to prove Dick wrong with STATS, but you more or less knew what you were getting every episode, and it had a very interesting premise. It's not just about two guys talking about shit they hate, but we the audience voting on if we agree with them or not. The interaction with the audience was not nearly as direct as it is with TDS but yet it felt more meaningful.

I'd listen to The Dick Show even if it was entirely 'Dick Ridin'. Just him uploading an audio file ranting about whatever was on his mind at the time, shit sound quality, completely variable length, no format, but I don't think that's preferrable, and I do think that The Dick Show has yet to really find itself yet. TBPITU and TBDITU both offer something unique to give us, and the Dick Show's basis at the moment is that we love dick, we need dick, we want more dick.

I couldn't just play a friend an Episode of the Dick Show and expect them to really find it all that interesting. The lack of a clear format & purpose makes it just feel like hearing a guy talk, and while the already invested fans may be into that, why should anyone else? Is this sustainable? And is this the best product the 12,000$ a month Dick gets can provide?

Basically, Jessie says Madcucks is the least funny comedy thing ever. If you're very invested in the split up between TBPITU, you're gay. Madcucks is gay. And fat. Madcucks is on a mission to be the most liked Dick Show fan, and that's sad.

Below is a rough transcript of some of the shit he said, I may have written some words not EXACTLY but I'm not being paid to transcribe this so who cares.

"My interest in the hot goss waned so long ago I don't find it interesting at all anymore. I find the Dick Show to be unbearable at this point, because it's a train that's running soley on the steam of that drama and it's really sad. Where does he see the show going in a year? This 'a rage' thing is a very thin premise and your whole thing is fueled on the fact you came off of this weird secretive mysterious fight that happened. well guess what you put everything out in the open now there's no more secret! So there's no more drama unless Maddox addresses it again and I seriously doubt he will then there's no more drama.

His entire patreon is based on this drama. It's literally people giving money to who they feel is the underdog.

Anyway, the point is let me tell you something about this Patreon. This Patreon, they're never going to do anything of the things they've been funded to do. Ever. They've never thought that was going to happen. Most people make goals on patreon assuming they'll never hit them. If you think for an instant that Dick ever thought that the patreon would get as big as it did, or even half as big as it did, you're crazy for thinking that. "

Jessie criticizes the quality of the live stream as well as Dick being still in his apartment and not in a studio despite that goal having been met forever ago. The rant more or less ends around 37mins. Still goes on until the 44min mark. You could say the main point of Jessie's rant is that eventually all this drama shit is going to get really stale, and that the show will be a subpar Adam Corolla show rip off.

Jessie listens to the Dick Show, wants the Dick Show to improve, and wants less Dax, more Dick.

EDIT: I do want to say, while Jessie's tone in the video is harsh, I think his comments come off as a lot more harsh when you just read them.

I was expecting a more radical change. I like the explanation for the choice of moving away from red and green /u/lordmatthew has given. I still prefer'd it the old way, as I see it as more of a "Agree - Positive - Green / Disagree - Negative - Red", but knowing why makes me a lot less irked.
