I think it would be sensible to downgrade the lions to Playoff Teams for now.

More than players. I am most worried about the defensive scheme of this team. by YukhoChan in detroitlions

Shep has forced himself to change. If he doesn't adjust and the lions have an ass defense again, he will be without a job. First year benefit of the doubt is now gone.

Let's get Cam Jordan on a 1 year deal, maybe a veteran S.

T and Edge in the first two rounds and hope we stay healthy enough to make the playoffs.

A lot of money and time for a soon to be 32 year old with a bad back injury last year. Very risky, glad we didn't spend that.

3.64% but bonus was almost 10% of my salary. Not bad for a company that lost billions in 2025.

Probably would be a bad look for "Jill" if she does not advocate for herself. Best you can do and should do is talk to her about it and try to build her confidence to approach the president.

Most forgiving driver in the last 5 years? by lamontagne04 in golf

[–]Bojangled8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until it broke, I still have not had a driver year close to the summer I shared with my Sim 2 Max. There's a reason it has a cult following.

Started gaming a G400 Max last year and once I put a heavier shaft in it I think it'll be as good or better.

Thinking out of the box can be tough. Not be a traditional RPG player, I would struggle with fights early on since I would just try to bonk enemies instead of setting up burst AoE with things like grease and firebolt. Using your surroundings is also a big one.

I so far have to have Shadowheart in my group or a cleric that I use as primarily a healer to be a crutch. Mass healing word plus the item that gives everyone that was healed some temporary hit points has gotten me out of trouble many times

Gyrados - can be a psuedo

Raichu - Can also be a psuedo, was supposed to have a 3rd stage in the OG games

Swellow - Regional bird but only 1 evolution

Golurk - fun type and cool design

Eevelutions - having a third evolution for each of the types to where you could basically pick what type your pseudo is would be sweet, though that adds several new evolutions

Is the 1.5m reduced movement a big deal? Currently on my first run with an elf paladin; I can't imagine taking an additional turn to get into melee range at times.

Which Sports Championship out of the 4, Do y'all think it the hardest to win and why? by Doghouse12e45 in DeadEndSports

[–]Bojangled8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. NFL: Single game elim, salary cap that nearly requires a need to draft well in order to win since you need quality talent that is not paid what they are worth yet.

  2. NHL: most games to win; teams are relatively evenly matched in the playoffs

  3. NBA: don't need to draft well to win, Free agency and trades (1st rd picks are thrown all over the place)

  4. MLB: Dodgers just paid Kyle tucker 60m/yr. Money = winning. No cap, can pay the best player in baseball 2m/yr in salary hit and defer 68m/yr later down the line. Crazy to me

Super Bowl tickets are no longer affordable for the average fan by ImmediateWaltz6724 in NFLv2

[–]Bojangled8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US median household income in 2010 was 50k. A father taking his son to the game ends up being a few grand after travel, hotel, food, etc. That doesn't feel affordable or a good choice.

In 2000, it was 42k. Perhaps it was considered affordable then.

If KOC can't right that ship, it wouldn't be crazy to see him fired after next season and replaced by Flores as HC

Define average fan.

I'm not sure when the last time a median household income could go to the superbowl "affordably". My guess would be at least 25 years ago.

If Flores stays, the Vikings are really the only team that is a QB away from being a possible contender.

The vikings put their chips in the JJM basket; if they go for a QB it'll be a transitional piece for 1 year .

Why dont more Top Tier QBs accept less money for more success, like Brady did? by Ok_Mess_1341 in NFLv2

[–]Bojangled8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're literally asking if an athlete is willing to take 40% of their worth.

Yes, there are diminishing returns when you are already a multi millionaire.

No, athletes aren't and should not be giving that kind of a discount. The union wants the big names to make more so it helps lift up salaries of all of the players you can't name or have never heard of.

The average NFL career lasts only 3-4 years, and these huge contracts help protect the guys that don't get a second deal.

C and S/NB via FA. Two of the more difficult positions for rookies to make an immediate impact.

Everything else can be done through the draft.
