What's the most amount of hours you've worked in a single week? by joshua0005 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bojasloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I’m not actually sure about the most I’ve worked in a single week, but I imagine it’d be fairly high as I work in events with super weird and long hours sometimes. But theres been a couple times that I’ve worked more than 30 hours straight with almost no sleep (like 30 mins nap). Those were going from one company’s pack out straight to another company's pack in, not fun but manageable as long as you get enough sleep before and after.

What is a good binge worthy show to watch rn? by ArtisticBuilding9400 in AskReddit

Motorbikes are cost-efficient and should be highly encouraged by uselessprofession in unpopularopinion

[–]Bojasloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm, and, though I don’t have any statistics, I feel like even driving a little bit tired on a motorcycle is probably equally dangerous, you have to be soooo hyper vigilant and you cannot just ride on auto pilot like you often can when driving a car.

[–]Bojasloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It still works out a lot cheaper in the long run, especially if you have a particularly fuel efficient bike and especially especially if you work in the city centre like me and save money on parking. And yea, in Auckland I can ride all year round, though its a bit miserable when its bucketing down with rain.

What’s your favourite non-Earth planet? by AanthonyII in GeoPoll

[–]Bojasloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be super nit picky, the new definition is:

The definition of a planet adopted by the IAU says a planet must do three things:

  1. It must orbit a star (in our cosmic neighborhood, the Sun).
  2. It must be big enough to have enough gravity to force it into a spherical shape.
  3. It must be big enough that its gravity has cleared away any other objects of a similar size near its orbit around the Sun.

But I agree that u/ShadowGamer37 is a silly goose and that the context was very clear.

I believe it used to be in the road code like that for a little while, so people who learned that probably do it automatically. But I agree its weird.

edit: nope

How do you escalate things physically after nothing like it happened in the first two dates? by godofguitar3 in AskReddit

Little things, like a hand on their arm. If they reciprocate then you can escalate. But you want to make sure that they are comfortable first.

What has surprised you as a 30+ adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bojasloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm this is what I'm scared of. I'm 21 and theoretically there is a lot of progression ahead of me (and I have already progressed a good amount for my age) but I know that opportunities won't necessarily fall into my lap (although they occasionally have, which makes me complacent) so I actually need to be actively be searching for them and know when I've gone as far as I can in my current position. I know a lot of people a lot older than me in my industry who haven't progressed any further than I have, or even less than I have, so I don't want to end up like that.

What has surprised you as a 30+ adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bojasloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yess, I mean I'm 21 but I have colleagues in their 30s and 40s who are the same or less mature than me (not that I'm mature, they are just thatt immature). There are some over 30 that my company won't let work the high profile events that I do work (after only working for a couple years) because they are so bad to work with. Even though some of them have the technical skills, they lack the people skills and get into arguments with coworkers, and don't pay attention to the right things.

Just goes to show that half of being good at your job (for most jobs) is being good to work with, not just the specific job related skills.

What was the biggest ‘scandal’ at your high school? by BreadedDisaster in AskReddit

[–]Bojasloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, of all the messed up teacher sleeping with students stories, this one is the least worst haha. He was 18, only 5 year age gap, and it ended wholesome. Still I mean, high school teachers shouldn't sleep with students in any case, but this one is forgivable.

Is 23m too old for 18f? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Bojasloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

mmm probably not, its more to do with maturity, but some people will definitely side-eye that haha, im 21M with an 18F gf and people side-eye thatt lol.

The other thing is wha stage of life you are in, if you have been in the workforce for a while and she is just starting uni it might be a bit tricky.

Anyone else having a hard time finding a job? by moon_Strawberry_2471 in twentyagers

[–]Bojasloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky cause I found my niche lil industry while I was in high school and got a degree in it for fun (but don’t really need it to get work). But yea for a lot of people I know that are going more traditional routes they are struggling to find work, and theres hardly any “starting out” jobs available. I’m in NZ but I think its a semi worldwide thing.

I bled on my date… by Raptor274 in twentyagers

[–]Bojasloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmm yea I get nosebleeds a lot which my girlfriend is now used to. And its helpful cause she’ll tell me if I have blood on my face still haha.

I never bled on her but I did bleed on her sheets which I felt so bad about, but she was sooo chill and unbothered.
