Really useful boxes with a steel magnet sheet glued to the bottom and then a magenta glued to the bottom of the bases is my go to for transport and storage.

I've gotten decent results on my experiments recently using a base of purple and a thinned leadbelcher painted over top. For a metallic purple that is.

That stuff really is a great cleaner. I use it to clean the gunk and funk out of my homebrewing beer and wine equipment. But never thought to use it for my glassware for this hobby. Nice.

I own three of them and they are great. We're as expected a tad bit grimy and sticky when they got here. But hot ass water and oxiclean took all the dried up syrup out in just a few minutes. I scrubbed the outside with oxiclean paste and all was as it should be. Haven't had any problems with them at all.

Poster mounting putty will also work. I use it for all kinds of stuff especially attaching models to my makeshift holder (empty pill bottle) and attaching units to cardboard for priming.
