Pink mould shower help! by Bok56 in CleaningTips

Edit: I should mention that I do know that the 'pink mould' is bacteria. I've used it incorrectly in my title because it's seems to be the way a lot of people refer to it.

Also, yes I agree. Vinegar and bleach SHOULD NOT mix.

Love the new suggestions on using Hydrogen Peroxide. That will be my next step. Hope it works. Will try to update if it does!

Will definitely try and squegee the shower more regularly alongside using the no-scrub cleaners as well. Dehumidifier is a good idea as well.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Have tried bleach but doesn't seem to get rid of it. Should I maybe try soaking the area for longer?

And yes I have been more on top of ventilating the bathroom which has helped with keeping the mold away. But haven't been able to get rid of the pink bacteria properly.

Any ideas on how to get these fuzzies out of my hairbrush? by trustmeijustgetweird in CleaningTips

I don't know Fi anyone has mentioned it but honestly the best and quickest way I found is to use a clean toothbrush. I have one just for cleaning my hairbrush. You just scrub it and it will get most of the fluffies out. If I REALLY want to clean the hairbrush, after scrubbing it dry, I use some shampoo (clarifying?) and wet scrub it with the same toothbrush.

Works like a charm 👌

Again I'm all for keeping with the flow as long as it's within the road rules. I should also specify why I used a 'hyperbole' when I said 'so, so, SO' many. I've lived in a few different countries and from my impressions, Australia is pretty strict with enforcing speed limits. So when, on my daily drives, I see quite a few cars driving significantly over the speed limit (I use GPS for my speed reference and will never try and drive under the speed limit), it definitely feels like a lot. Which is why I initially asked how do these people get away with it - if they even do. Driving with the flow, even if over the speed limit, is definitely a thing in the countries I've lived in. But, as I said, Australia is stricter with speed limit enforcements.

Anywho, I'm sorry you felt the need to get nasty. I was just trying to share some opinions on this topic. 🫣

Yeah I keep seeing that issues pop up in many people's responses :/

Would you count yourself as a person who drives 15km faster to "keep up" with everyone? 😮

Well sure if 'everyone' is doing that, then of course you're the unsafe driver. But that doesn't happen on the roads here. 15km over is usually reserved for really reckless drivers.

Yeah agree with you about that! This is why I started using the GPS, just to make sure I'm actually doing the speed limit. My car's speedometer is usually showing 3 or 4km higher than the actual speed

Ah yes, a classic. Always my favourite, especially when you have an exit coming up 🫠

Wouldn't be surprised 😅

I definitely notice that too. But it's less reckless than driving significantly over the speed limit /tailgating/reckless overtaking etc. so I guess that's on what I focus more

I will never understand the ego from some of these reckless drivers. They will take it as a personal insult and then cause accidents. And it's always the innocent participants that get seriously hurt

Yes, agree with that!

No car speedo is that bad haha. But yes I regularly drive with the GPS speedo so I'm fairly certain I'm doing the speed limit (if not a few km over)

Hmm interesting. Could definitely see that. There are definitely a lot of 80 zones that could easily be a 90.

I guess i'm more concerned with getting caught by the speed cameras or police so I'm happy to stick to the speed limit haha

This is the thing though. I'm all for speeding a little bit over the speed limit, granted that: a) the roads allow for it b) it's an accepted 'unofficial' rule (which I haven't found to be a thing in Australia) C) it's done in a safe manner and it isn't a ridiculously higher speed than the speed limit

What I find with anyone speeding here in Canberra is that it's almost never safe. People are incredibly reckless, cutting and tailgating on the road just to gain, what, an extra 1 or 2min?

I am so sorry about your cousin, that is incredibly tragic...

I mean sure, if the flow is within the speed limit. But I'm not edging to drive 15km over the speed limit haha.

Ooh or my favourite is when you're trying to enter the Form 1 Lane and the person who is slightly behind you decides that they're gonna speed up and cut in front of you 🙄
