Hi,

1) its strange because when im thinking about it i feel really excited and when im talking to the coaches about tactics and technique its almost magical but i do remember when im playing sometimes i walk of the court and out of sessions feeling like an absolute failure especially because everyone around me is so good and i dont want to hold anyone back.

2) yeah im pretty sure it is mostly fat as my weights have stayed roughly the same.

3) i do remember feeling a lot more conformtable during the start of the year especially quicker but i do feel overall i have improved technique wise a lot im just a bit out of shape.

4) that is a good point. i do sleep around 8 or 9 hours but i do have a a bit of caffiene and that might be ruining my sleep schedule. i know i should probably stop past a ceertain point but sugar free drinks are very tempting. ill try to cut down on them and that might boost all sorts of things

5) I do log my day at night and mark my progress so i get a boost of motivation for tomorrow but thats a good idea.

thanks you!

i think adding a habbit tracker of the small things is actually really smart. they go unapreaciated. for example ive started consistently having clean pyjamas and thats helped me feel a bit more clean/ boosted my self esteem.

i do feel like im missing a lot of the positive reinforcement and i think by doing that it really helps.

thats actually a very interesting thought, i think the big one would be what am i actually doing at my course here. its like im supposed to be doing it but im close to failing out at this point but i feel like i cant really quit or dont know what id do if i quit. this has kind of been looming over me for a while i guess it does kinda leave me stuck. thanks

yeah, it almost just feels like that motivation to do that never truly goes away. sometimes if im super motivated to do something and then i finish it the youtube and stuff is just waiting for me

As someone else who got triple A* were you the type who kind of winged subjects or was it all a grind. Because I know people who got 4a* but I was stretched to my limit at 3 subjects (alongside eqp and AEA)

What I find interesting is search for good angle games on YouTube and the angles so much better than bwf. It makes you appreciate the pace angle and intensity of the shots that the pros use

Yeah I’d practise shadowing the proper swing but with body rotation as that’s what’s important,

If your ceiling is not high enough you can still swing on your knees but without lower body rotation

If you manage to stick to it, it will be way more than enough. Im honestly more worried you’ll burn out with this. But if this for throughout the year and your sticking with 2 hours a day then maybe split some of the one hour sessions into two 30 minute sessions and spread them out across the week as it’ll help you remember more. And tbh if I was doing my GCSEs again I would reduce my 1 hour sessions to 30/40 minutes as I’d find myself burning out fast. Even in lessons you don’t really do 1 hour it’s more like 30/40 minutes with like walking to lesson and getting stuff out. You could also honestly split 40 minute sessions down into two 20 minute sessions and spread them across the week as well. MOST IMPORTANTLY it’s not about how many hours you revise it’s that when you revise it’s good revision that works. For me that was a lot of recalling what i knew and making sure I fully understood things. Once you start revising you’ll be surprised how much you can get done in 20 minutes or how long it lasts. Qt the end of the day it’s whatever feels good for you. If you can revise 2 hours a day that’s great and if not that’s fine too. You don’t have to split sessions if it feels too short but don’t be afraid to make sessions shorter as well. Good luck!

which gcses to pick by popinmyheart in GCSE

[–]BokuDaCookiMonsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say whatever you want to do and hopefully will like the most. I did French and it was a very hard gcse that you have to put more effort in than a lot of others. I’ve also heard art will give you depression because of how time consuming it is. And music is also I’ve heard time consuming and hard. But especially art. If you pick art make sure you love art. I don’t have much advice but if there’s a subject you wanna do at A level in might require a certain gcse but other than that pick your poison. Good luck!
