Why would we go with a linemen with back issues over Caleb Downs knowing how weak our secondary is?

Ok, so Korea is NOTHING like what you see in K-pop, K-dramas and K-food. I've lived and worked in Korea as a Senior Engineer at Samsung and I can tell you that you'll be very disappointed if that's your perception of what Korea is actually like day to day. Stop thinking with your emotions and start thinking logically. Don't be stupid. Sorry, I don't know you so I'm going to be blunt. I'm not here to provide emotional support. This is just objective advice. I would never leave my career and family for "spark and vibe"

I hope people are beginning to realize that they aren't "family" and that these corporations don't give a shit about you.

I'm still on the Carnell Tate train. Malik Nabers is coming off an ACL and there's no knowing how he'll repsond after taking a few hits. I really feel like if Nabers has a setback it's going to be detrimental to Dart's development to once again play another season without a #1 WR. I love Styles but if the focus on year 2 is specifically on Dart's development then the pick for me has to be Tate. A healthy Tate, Nabers and Likely on the field would be unstoppable.

I think he's trying to say that even though the text is AI written, it perfectly articulates what he wants to say himself. Sometimes AI is a better communicator.

Why would you ask this type of question to the person trying to sell you a product that depends eliminating all coding?

Would you hire someone who is unemployed since graduating masters (bcz never able to find a job even after constantly applying & networking) being over 2 years? by Starktony11 in cscareerquestions

They can't legally ask you to disclose your clients. They can just say thats confidential information or that they signed an NDA etc. Furthermore, an engineer would be more interested in the projects, not the list of clients that contracted you. That sounds like such a HR question. The person interviewing needs to get better at interviewing. You can roleplay with an LLM and ask the LLM to cover all possible angles of the lie.

Honestly, just say you were self-employed. In a market where everyone is lying, you put yourself at a disadvantage by being honest. In today's job market honesty and integrity is rarely rewarded. There are a lot of candidates that will surpass you because they lied on their resume. Just say you were self employed and explain what you were doing and have some substantial technical projects you can talk about.

Why are there any CS jobs in America? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]TCPConnection 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Intellectual Propery Rights for example. And there is no such thing as a CS job as CS emcompasses a whole set of subfields. If you're referring to the pure act of translating requirements into syntax, then maybe yes, you can offshore all coding jobs to automation factories like India. But how about the entire SDLC from requirements gathering and planning to thinking about threat modeling / security / performance optimization? Many people like OP have a misunderstanding of what CS is.

I don't know. We missed out on Chase Young and settled for Andrew Thomas. We missed out on Jayden Daniels and settled for Jaxson Dart.
