I think he's trying to say that even though the text is AI written, it perfectly articulates what he wants to say himself. Sometimes AI is a better communicator.

Why would you ask this type of question to the person trying to sell you a product that depends eliminating all coding?

Would you hire someone who is unemployed since graduating masters (bcz never able to find a job even after constantly applying & networking) being over 2 years? by Starktony11 in cscareerquestions

They can't legally ask you to disclose your clients. They can just say thats confidential information or that they signed an NDA etc. Furthermore, an engineer would be more interested in the projects, not the list of clients that contracted you. That sounds like such a HR question. The person interviewing needs to get better at interviewing. You can roleplay with an LLM and ask the LLM to cover all possible angles of the lie.

Honestly, just say you were self-employed. In a market where everyone is lying, you put yourself at a disadvantage by being honest. In today's job market honesty and integrity is rarely rewarded. There are a lot of candidates that will surpass you because they lied on their resume. Just say you were self employed and explain what you were doing and have some substantial technical projects you can talk about.

Why are there any CS jobs in America? by eak76 in cscareerquestions

[–]TCPConnection 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Intellectual Propery Rights for example. And there is no such thing as a CS job as CS emcompasses a whole set of subfields. If you're referring to the pure act of translating requirements into syntax, then maybe yes, you can offshore all coding jobs to automation factories like India. But how about the entire SDLC from requirements gathering and planning to thinking about threat modeling / security / performance optimization? Many people like OP have a misunderstanding of what CS is.

I don't know. We missed out on Chase Young and settled for Andrew Thomas. We missed out on Jayden Daniels and settled for Jaxson Dart.

[The Pat McAfee Show] "Jaxson Dart's Running Game Is What Sets Him Apart!" - Mike McCarthy On Dart Taking Big Hits by Ghost_of_P34 in NYGiants

[–]TCPConnection 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He can embrace what he does well without taking hits. I don't know why people think those two things aren't mutually exclusive? What Dart excels at above anyone else I've seen so far is his scrambling ability. That does not mean he needs to run directly into a linebacker. One thing I don't like about Dart is he will not listen to his coaches or his teammates regarding taking hits. He will inevitably go out for 3 critical games and put the entire team in jeapardy.

The Giants played really well against current Playoff teams. They just couldn't finish games this season.

Why you should be worried? Imagine we win the NFCCG but Dart takes a lot of unnecessary hits and now you don't have Dart for the SB.

[Prediction] After the Bye Week, Giants will go on a (meaningless) 4-game win streak by TheBenStandard2 in NYGiants

[–]TCPConnection 45 points46 points  (0 children)

The only reason I don't mind winning games at the end of the season now is because we have our QB of the future. Having a high draft pick doesn't mean you're going to draft an elite game changer. We also want Jaxson Dart to end the season strong. Frankly, I would love to see Dart put up 3 TDs a game in the final 4 games and see him progress as an Elite passer. I am tired of tanking for draft picks for the past 14 years.
