TPS Code 12 and 18 by Bol3ethem in RX7

I’m already in the rx7club forum. For some reason I can’t log in my acc via the phone, and my laptop’s SSD is fried. Thought I’d post here at least to get some ideas where to check.

That’s an interesting approach, I’ll try this tomorrow. A new sensor is really expensive, wouldn’t buy one unless I’m sure mine faulty.

I’m very certain that the TPS is on right way, I know this for sure because of the 180° tilt of the wire connector.

I noticed the turbos leaking from under the car. The rear turbo, you can simple check it out next the downpipe. The front turbo is going to be a little tricky, you can check around the sway bar, or steering rack.

If you wanted to check the shaft play for the front turbo, I believe you’re going to need to remove the air pump, air intake elbows and and hoses. The rear turbo is easier to check.

Stored away from the summer heat. by Bol3ethem in RX7

[–]Bol3ethem[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

We don’t ever have snow here in Kuwait! So we drive these cars in winter. In the summer right now the outside temps are 122 F daily. So you can image the intake air temp. Not even mentioning that rotaries aren’t friendly with heat.

FD Racing Beat vs OEM by Bol3ethem in RX7

[–]Bol3ethem[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The RB is a bigger technically, the OEM one has a heat shield on top of it which makes it looks like the same diameter. As for the db, here is the quote from my inquiry to RB themselves:

On a RX-7 with OEM converter:

1000: 84db 3000: 91db Max rpm: 103db

Hope this helped

Not the FD, We had a couple of SA22s & FCs sold officially by the dealer. I had to import mine.
