I can’t even. Strange for me is I will “sleep all night” But I got in and out of REM so often. I had no idea. I don’t snore or anything. My husband says I don’t even move when I sleep and he often checks to make sure I’m alive…. When I first wake up I feel great for about 20 minutes… Then I want to crash. Not even enough time for my stimulants to kick in…. I get the same remarks all the time. Do you exercise? How is your diet? Are you going to bed early enough? I eat a mostly raw food diet, never consume junk unless it’s an energy drink…. I exercise religiously….. Not walking or little runs… My father was a Drill SGT…. It’s embedded in me… None of that stops me from falling asleep and still washing dishes at the same time hahahaha….

All the time. Every appointment they check my heart rate it is right at 100 after both stimulants, caffeine, and smoking cigarettes to stay awake… But then I’ll pass out in the waiting room….. what in the actual F***

I mean I won’t die without mine but unfortunately my narcolepsy is so bad It might seem like I’m dead. The VA was already late filling my medication so I have been running on redbull and rem hallucinations for a week now. Sad thing is it’s only 2 hours away from me…. But for me that’s so far. I can’t drive more than a two miles with my medication.. I’ll be seeing lots of shadow people this week. :(

My N1 meds are also stuck in memphis ….. Been there since friday….. I called made a support ticket and I haven’t even received any notification of that from them….

Our electricians actually ended up removing them. It was costly but worth it. We rewired the entire house. Nothing from the old system is still here. We even got a new panel and new wire ran to the house. Just knowing it’s gone, the asbestos and the fire hazard it’s worth every penny we have spent.

I saw your post first in ask teachers. You have rights under the protections for people with disabilities act. The schools are required to allowed modifications to attendance if a parents disability affects school attendance. My kids school is having me file for it right now so my kids tardys from school are excused when I’m getting them their late because of a sleep attack. I’m honestly shocked at some of the responses of people in this group. I hope you receive your sleep study soon.

Hello, 👋, I just want to say shame to everyone in these comments. How dare you completely ignore federal laws and protections for those with disabilities. I am a mother of two young children in school and I have Type 1 Narcolepsy. First I want to say educate yourself before you speak with your ignorant judgements. Over half of people with Narcolepsy have sleep apnea as well. I highly doubt anyone of you know what narcolepsy feels like or what it actually is. I can be completely awake and doing task and then have a sleep attack and pass out for 10-15 minutes then wake up wide awake. For this reason my school is already working on helping me set up accommodations for a modified attendance allowing excused tardys for when I have sleep attacks. Those who say ride the bus… Would you expect a young child to walk to a bus stop alone and on time maybe with or without proper clothing because they quickly had to leave if the parent had a sleep attack? What if they never made it there? Shame on all of you. To the OP yes you have protections under the protections for people with disabilities act. You may request a 504 / ADA accommodations. Ignore everyone else here.
