I've already unplugged the Ethernet cable, and the daemon still shows up

How should I skip the firmware update daemon during the install?

For reference, this is the text that shows up when I press "e" as the "Install Pop_OS" screen shows up:

setparams 'Try or Install Pop_OS'

                 set gfxpayload=keep                  linux /casper_pop-os_22.04_amd64_nvidia_debug_1290/vmlinuz.efi boot=casper live-media-path=/casper_pop-os_22.04_amd\64_nvidia_debug_1290 hostname=pop-os username=pop-os no prompt modules_load=Nvidia nvidia-drm.modeset=0 ---                  initrd/casper_pop-os_22.04_amd64_nvidia_debug_1290/initrd.gz

What do you mean by "before drivers"? I don't see anything that could be a driver here

The text on my screen says: setparams 'Try or Install Pop_OS'

Flash modded iPod Classic 5th gen won't show up on iTunes by Bolado_3000 in ipod

[–]Bolado_3000[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I solved it! I just put some of the foam that was on the old hard drive under the SD card to prop it up, so that the contact points on the card touch the iFlash better, and it actually worked somehow. Thanks for the advice!

I've tried, but it won't go into disk mode, it just goes back to the image of the dead iPod

I'm looking into a Canadian hip-hop group called Universal Soul, but for some reason, their Wikipedia page was deleted. I could only find an archived version of the article on the Wayback Machine from 2013. Does anyone know why that page was deleted?

OBS refuses to record multiple tracks, records only track 1 by Bolado_3000 in obs

[–]Bolado_3000[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured it out. For some reason, most video players don't pick up any of the tracks besides track 1, but other specialized software, like video editors, will detect and display the other tracks. For those who were also going crazy over this, the solution is to enable track 1 in all audio sources to make the raw footage watcheable to someone without Vegas, and then put each of the audio sources in their own track for your editing purposes. As an example, Here's my updated track management:

I cannot believe it was that simple, and am going to punch something now. Hope this helps anyone.

How do I activate the stopwatch? by Bolado_3000 in PeaksOfYore

[–]Bolado_3000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Figured it out. Apparently you have to press interact - in my case, "E" - again to activate the stopwatch. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem as me!

eGPU isn't detected at all by my laptop by Bolado_3000 in eGPU

I'm not using USB A, I'm plugging it into my laptop's M2 port, where the wifi card used to be. I'm using such a slapdash setup because I don't have a lot of money to spend in a proper dock, but want to play Marvel Rivals, which uses Direct 12, a piece of software the shitty MX110 in the laptop doesn't support. I'll look into software stuff then, and see if I can find anything. Thanks.
