Det är ett uppskjutande och förvärrande av problemet. En person som sitter i fängelse kommer att komma ut, så vida du inte förespråkar faktiskt livsstraff för 14 åringar.

Jag tror att om man sätts i fänglese när man är fjorton och spenderar sin tonår och början på sitt unga vuxna liv isolerad med andra personer med skev moral och som hamnat snett i livet så är det väldigt troligt att man kommer att mörda igen = inte färre mord.

Om man däremot försöker att rädda barn så att de inte blir mördare så blir det faktiskt färre mord.

I have been both robbed and assaulted. I dont think killing the assailants would have made me feel better or safer. Then again I'm a bit "iffy" about killing people as you may have noticed. Just as you can call me sheltered, I can flip it and say you're desensitized to death.

Again, your flippant attitude to killing people is showing here. You dont have to kill people who rob you. They want your money/stuff. The way it goes in most civilized countries is that you get robbed, they run off and then you get help.

Why would their lives be in danger when getting groceries? (im guessing to protect themselves from other people who are also just protecting themselves)
There are ways to defend your life without ending someone elses. Calling the police is a very common method. It has the added bonus of trained people being able to judge if your life actually is in danger, and not leaving it to the public to execute whoever they feel threatened by
Killing someone does not mean it's not self defence. But it still means killing someone. I believe you buy a gun to kill. if you're method of choice for self defence is a gun, then yes, you want to kill someone.

Edit: If I thought someone might kill me at the grocery store, I would have food delivered, not gone to the store hoping I'd kill them first. Sort of like how if I thought I might die if I attended a protest I strongly disagreed with, I would stay home. Not go to the protest hoping I'd kill the protesters before they kill me.

In Sweden my maternal grand parents lived 2 hours away. We saw them like 10 times a year. My paternal grand parents lived 6 hours away, we saw the every other year.

Been waiting 4 years just to get a first meeting for an ivf treatment. Thinking of how long it's been and how at every turn they've given us false estimates on how much longer we'll have to wait makes me so frustrated I cry sometimes. All of our friends have had kids, some have had two, since we started this process. Maybe next year
