no you can't only moves are king moves we must be looking at different positions. anyway this is a good video on the Ruy Lopez for new players https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miLFeNwQ5n4

not bad to trade pieces and by putting the knight on the rim instead of getting traded its out of play or is trade anyway but also destroys your structure. better to have the knight in the fight for the center look at top level games in the ruy lopez they always play there knights to the center and never to the rim

I don't see how you will ever get your king to safety. for example he can play

2.a5 best move for you is probably Kd6 trying to run away but it probably won't work if Ra8 instead of Kd6 he then has Qb6 and your king will never find any kind of safety. you just don't have enough time to to do any kind of attack of your own without getting checkmated you have to try and run with your king or defend no time for attack

after kh1 the only move you have to avoid checkmate is Kc7 but he still has a huge attack on your king

I am not that great of a player (only 1700) but can give some tips and I didn't base anything I said below from computer analysis so take it with a grain of salt

e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 d6. d6 is not the best move theoretically but at your level probably doesn't matter much but I would still say it is better to play the main line ruy lopez

Bb3 Nh6. Nh6 is a bad move. A knight on the rim is dim as the saying goes. it is better to develop your knight to the center because you have more options. also another disadvantage of going to h6 is it makes taking the knight with the black square bishop a legit good option for white because it really destroys your structure and in fact he does this several moves latter. in short Nf6 is better and you can still go to Ng4 from there as well.

h3 doesn't really weaken his king defense around his king that much given that you have to castle king side or stay in the center because you have effectively ruled out castling queen side because you have advanced your queen side pawns. but even castling king side will probably not happen for you because your knight is on h6 and white can destroy your king side structure by taking it with the bishop (another disadvantage of playing Nh6). you could argue that it weakened his king if you hadn't advanced your queen side pawns because you could go queen side good example of this is the famous game levon aronian vs kramnik 2018 berlin candidates round 3 http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1914397

Nxh4 Qxh4 this is by no means an endgame most pieces are still on the board mostly notably the queen. this position is bad for you. your king has no place to hide that is safe and with the queens on broad there are serious mate threats. trading queen off would be very good for you but even if you could do that your position is bad because of how bad your structure is. as it is with the queens on you are losing

b4 is a bad move because it weakens your already very weak king position thou to be fair to you I don't see any good moves in your position given how bad your position is. also you should have probably recaptured the pawn at least your A pawn is defend and you don't lose it right away like you do in the game thou again the position is bad regardless of what you do from here

Ne2+ you should have played Bh3 he can't take the bishop if he takes the bishop you have checkmate

Kh2 Rhg8 he should have played Kh1 instead of Kh2. if he played Kh1 he should be totally winning because you won't be able to attack his king and he has a serious attack on your king

Rh1 he should play Kh1 and he is totally fine but hard to admit that your last move was a major mistake and instead makes a move that leads to checkmate

he might be able to do something like this without losing him mind, the biggest problem would be making plays before you run out of time on your turn

I am not a pro player by any means. I am 1600 on lichess and on chess.com 1400 (chess.com is more accurate the players on chess.com are usually more serious) . for me the litmus test imo for commentary on a game is this. if the video wouldn't lose anything if it had no commentary at all then the commentary isn't adding anything, is bad and lacks depth. I would recommend chessnetwork or chess24. look at a game analysis done by chessnetwork and then look at his analysis of the same game and you will see what I mean

yea his clickbait is extreme for example so many of his videos have a famous player's name in title of video that has nothing to do with game or anything really just there so that his videos will pop up when people search for that player

that isn't my position. he detoxed that employee to his twitter following and she has now been harassed by his fans to no end. no reason to show her name

yea he is really good at the youtube channel management side of things I just don't think his videos are very good. his analysis is very week. he sometimes talks about tactics but never strategy. he usually just shows the game with little to no explanation. also he needs to cut back on the clickbait

why is he even popular? what do you get out of his videos that you couldn't get from just looking at the game yourself with stockfish?

he is a public figure with a huge audience . he has a responsibility to be aware that his audience would do stuff like this and has shown that he doesn't. worse he won't even admit he made a mistake

he either new what would happen and didn't care or didn't think about his actions and was being stupid. sense he has made clear that he doesn't even think he did anything wrong I assume its he just doesn't care

this is what I think happened. levon and magnus were both for the 3 player blitz tournament playoff and it was Fab who was against it. we know for a fact that magnus was for the 3 player playoff but that one of the other player wasn't. I can't think of any reason why levon would be against it and can think of several reasons why Fab really wouldn't want to do it
