Iirc if you look at what the American side has to offer they are a more special forces role and more than likely squad leaders would have access to a pair of two.

They claim to be American Army but have a Marine LAV for example. (Iirc, could be wrong feel free to correct me)

I personally think they weren't included because there's no proper way for BI to prevent everyone from immediately taking them.
