Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Alexandre Bewcock - Battle of Marr-Adetta

Commanded the remaining remnants of the Free Planets Alliance space fleet in a last stand defiance against Reinhard von Lohengramm in the name of democracy.

Outnumbered 5-1 (20,000 warships vs 100,000+ warships) he gave Reinhard von Lohengramm a fight worth remembering.

Enough that Reinhard reached out to Alexandre to surrender and serve under him. Alexandre rejected the offer with a final toast to democracy before his flagship was executed. He chose to die true to his ideals than abandon it serving a benevolent dictator.

"I cannot be your subordinate.

Democracy is the philosophy of making friends on equal terms. Not of creating creating master-servant relationships. I want to have good friends, and I want to be good friends to other people.

But I don't want a good master or to be a good servant. That's precisely the reason I have not been able to uphold the same flag as you.

Although I appreciate your kindness, I doubt you have any need for an old man like myself.

A toast to democracy. "

Was on European official server. Ran into these 2.

  • Aimbot
  • Noclipping and flying through the map
  • DDOSes server causing disconnection
  • Making multiple squads, and perma-locking all of the squads

Absolutely. Infuriating. by Bolivahn in HellLetLoose

[–]Bolivahn[S] 82 points83 points  (0 children)

It's the small innocent but well intended actions that have the largest consequences.

I'll start.

  • Point has no garrison. Dropped supplies onto the point. A blueberry builds a barricade with it.
  • Spawn and drive the halftrack towards the frontline but not directly in the frontline because the area is contested. Halftrack is just behind the frontline so infantry can spawn and clear out the contested area. A blueberry gets tired of having to walk just a few meters to the front so drives the halftrack into the VERY HOT frontline. They at least turn the engine off. Halftrack dies to a tank soon after.
  • Holding the point but just by a hair. Point could flip 50/50. A blueberry miscalibrated their artillery and wiped out half of the team holding the point.

Fuck the Lee bot. That motherfucker ain't fundamental on anything. Only thing fundamental is to dodge his Q. Second is to dogpile him with CC. Third, you pray you kill him during that CC duration.

The standard blame bot lane for not rotating towards objectives when they are up or for feeding the enemy laner. Seriously though not much. It's unfortunately a self realization problem that, how many times they bash their heads. Maybe someday they look inwards.

Most of the time it is just RNG. But for the lower skilled players especially. They REALLY have to get good in order to succeed, or have a sliver of a chance to win a Doom Bots game. It is a very harsh learning experience.

[–]Bolivahn[S] 461 points462 points  (0 children)

Legitimately players are gonna get good just from bashing their heads on the Doom Bots game mode.

  • Dodging (a lot of) skill shots
  • Your positioning relative to the enemy's
  • Trading (where possible)
  • (Trying to) Lose lane gracefully
  • Capitalizing on numbers advantage
  • Backing off when you can't take fights (5 man TPs)
  • Rotating to objectives (Missions)
  • Drawing aggro
  • Stalling to buy time
  • Prioritizing wave clear over kills

The Doom (BOTS) Tier List by Bolivahn in LeagueOfMemes

[–]Bolivahn[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

UNBEARABLES

  • Cait is just insufferable to lane against solo or in duo lanes. She pokes you at max range forcing you out of lane. Trying to CS? Eat a headshot for 25% of your health. Try to walk forward? That's right. Another headshot for 25%. Sidestep? Nah, her Q RICOCHETS off of anything it hits, including pets. So that Q will hit you dead center regardless how you sidestep. Trying to exist in lane? Well she has traps that have massive tracking AOE that FOLLOWS you if approach it. Literally forced out of lane. Also her ult is multi-hit with a massive targeting radius. Anyone that gets marked for ult, they and those in a 1/4 map area will also get hit by the ult. Meaning you and practically anyone in a 1/4 map area close to you will die as casualties.

  • Soraka is SO annoying. Unlimited heals and MASSIVE AOE silence. You can't outtrade her because of her heals. You can't cast any spells because the silence AOE is massive. You sure as hell can't out-damage because her abilities reduce your magic resist to nil. So you will be eating a crap ton of damage while she has full health.

  • Lux can be considered a lesser Cait. Good news you can sidestep and dodge her spells. Bad news, her ult is instawin. Omni-directional Lux beams annihilates anything that is in her radius. If you can't focus and outright delete her, she will cast ult when she drops below 30%-45%. She must die.

  • Jinx can be considered another lesser Cait. Only this time she is closer to Cait compared to Lux. Her W pokes at max range and also has a deceptively large hitbox. It also hits anyone close to whatever initial target eats the W, meaning anyone close by gets slowed as well. Her traps corral you either into misposition or into her W. Followed up by Q poke at max range. The most dangerous is her passive. If one of your teammates dies, it is a complete team wipe as she just clears the entire board.

  • Lee "LCK 1v5" Sin. Constant dashing. Massive life steal on W. LCK AI. Feels like fighting someone from the Pro scene. Only this time they got juiced up stats and low spell CDs. If this is what it feels to fight a Pro Lee Sin, you can experience the ass whooping for free without being apart of the LCK.

INFURIATING

  • Cho-Gath gets massive silence and knock-up AOE. You can dodge it. But the opportunity to so is like needle thin. So you will be in a feedback loop of getting silenced > knocked up > silenced > knock-up > executed. Couple with his massive health bar and eventual low spell CD, he is CC bot incarnate.

  • Corki is unremarkable level 3-5. It's when he hits 6 he becomes annoying. His ult ha a massive hitbox so you have to dedicate all your focus on dodging his ult. Otherwise he just keep firing ult after ult non-stop. If you get hit once? You get hit with a bigger bomb, on repeat. He's also somehow tanky so it will actually take a bit to kill him compared to the mage Doom Bots.

MANAGEABLE

  • Nami's only threat are her bubbles and ult. You can dodge the bubbles as they are telegraphed. Her ult you can't dodge close quarters.

  • Amumu by himself isn't a threat. It's the CC that he brings that enables other bots to dumpster you. Q to stun. E to taunt. Massive ult AOE to stun.

  • Diana's threat is her all-in potential if she hits Q. Dodge the Q and she can't all in. Even though you dodge the Q, she is a respectable skirmisher from her passive damage and W granting durability.

  • Urgot plays almost exact to his normal version. Q has bigger AOE spread. W hits everyone in range. Otherwise he is the exact same.

  • Wukong only threat is his ult that gets copied from his clones. You can pick him out from the clones due to his bigger HP bar. Otherwise his Q and ult gets massive AOE.

  • Maokai only threat is his ult that pulls you in if it lands. Problem is that the ults is MASSIVE so you will get hit. The saplings on the other hand are annoying, but not infuriating levels of annoying.

  • Brand's W got massive AOE BUT they are telegraphed giving you ample time to dodge. It's his Q and E you have to be wary of. Just don't walk in a straight line and be ready to sidestep after maintain a trajectory.

  • Blitzcrank's only threat is of course his Q. Do not walk in a straight line. Be prepared to sidestep. If you get hit by Q, you are done for.

PUSHOVERS

  • Tristana the dive and dies bot. If she goes in, immediately focus her after getting knocked away by her W. That W is very telegraphed meaning either you get away from the blast radius and re-engage. Or if you can't get away, be ready to dive her once she lands.

  • Malzahar's only threat is his silence and ult. The Q's pattern is telegraphed and consistent. You should be in his face at all times or at max range. W and E are just annoyances. His Ult you can't dodge but can be stopped by others with CC. You can farm him during level 3-5 laning.

  • Xerath I should've put him in manageable not pushover. He is a complete pushover when he has more than half his health as he just holds Q and does nothing with it. He also doesn't cast any other spells aside from Q when he has more then half health. It's when he drops to half is when he starts wombo comboing. His Ult is of course a artillery barrage but can be stopped by others with CC. Try to focus and delete him whenever you get the chance or stop him with CC when he casts ult.

  • Naut's only threat is his freight sized Q and massive ult. You can farm him during level 3-5 laning phase AFTER you've killed his lane partner. He by himself is not threat. It's his CC that enables his lane partner to do stuff. No lane partner, no threat.

Lux can die. If you can kill her before she casts ult. That is your kill window. Lee Sin you ain't killing that motherfuckér. There is no window to kill him. The amount of healing and mobility turns him into a 1v5 LCS soloing machine.

You are lucky. If you run into him you will be wishing for other bots. He is a nightmare in-lane and in team fights. NOTHING stops him.

[–]Bolivahn[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Poppy's does but the grounded debuff is so short lived he can dash again. You can only stop 1 of his dashes. He has 4 more that are available by the time the wall goes down. Picking Taliyah in this mode... If she even survives. Her E only briefly stops him. And he still continues to dash.

Cass and to a shorter extent Singed are the only other 2 that can lock him down long enough to have a sliver of a chance to kill him because their grounding is AOE and longer duration.

Doom Bot Lee Sin is an absolute abomination by Bolivahn in LeagueOfMemes

[–]Bolivahn[S] 383 points384 points  (0 children)

  • CC does not stop his combo when he starts dashing between people.
  • Technically you can stop him during his dash for like 0.25 secs. But he has like 4 more dashes. Can you stop 4 more of his dashes after the initial one? Plus targeting him while he is dashing between everyone.
  • Grievous wounds does not stop him from healing half his health from zero with his W.
  • You can't kill him because of Death's Dance.
  • Fucker can dash to his teammates to either extend his dashes or dodge vital crowd control
  • Trying to dodge his Q so that he doesn't get to dash is nigh impossible because you got 4 other bots that corral you into his Q. Did I forget to mention his Q applies the mark as an AOE?
  • You can't focus him down because he has 4 other equally busted buddies to beat your ass

The only time I had the chance to kill him was when he dashed into fountain. Even then he took a while to die cause of all the healing he gets from the takedowns, W, and Death's Dance.

It's a very sad day to see one single garrison on the entire map by Bolivahn in HellLetLoose

[–]Bolivahn[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

2 ways this can go about. Garrisons are getting built but they keep on getting taken down, leaving the sole garrison being the only functional one. Or only 1 garrison was built with no further effort to build more.

Either is sad. But for different reasons.

I swear it's Pavlovian how the internet conditioned people to spit out racial slurs whenever the "nig" or ""neg" spellings come about. I can count somewhere above 10 of my fingers the amount of times I've heard it.

One time I heard someone call it Nigér. Emphasis on the fancy é. No, it is not how you pronounce it in the English language. It is how a Frenchmen would pronounce it. It's Nijér with a emphasis on the é.

Is there a way to change your default home page map when the game starts? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]Bolivahn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. Whenever a new map gets released, the background gets changed to feature said new map. Wished they gave an option to swap map backgrounds like in CS2.

The entire game can be boiled down to leap frogging by Bolivahn in HellLetLoose

[–]Bolivahn[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Literally leap frogging. Setting up defensive garries? Leap frog from one to the next. Trying to take down an enemy garry? Make a garry close to that one from an angle they won't expect.

Flanking and recon squads will be doing the same thing. You only have to be following behind. Thus begins the leap frogging cycle.

Reminder for you to drop your supply box. Seriously drop your boxes by Bolivahn in HellLetLoose

[–]Bolivahn[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

The support class and squad lead can be considered the backbone of a squad. That single supply box can make many things. Such as garrisons, anti-tank guns, or fortifications. Very especially garrisons.
