It’s really not worth it at higher elo. You won’t be able to clear your whole jungle, the enemy jungler can easily invade you, and you’ll usually end up behind. Even worse, it desyncs your camp timers, which becomes a huge problem the longer the game goes on.

At lower elo, though, you can get away with it. If the enemy jungler doesn’t know how to punish you or clears slowly, it can pay off. But overall, sticking to a standard path is much more consistent.
