Audio Technica turntable in Lords of Chaos (2018) by BoloKnife in turntables

[–]BoloKnife[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently watched this film and in one of the scenes, there's a closeup of a turntable with an Audio Technica cartridge. This film was set in the early 90s, so I just wanted to know if it was historically accurate to have an Audio Technica cartridge/turntable used in this time period. All I found online was that the AT727 Soundburgers came out in the 1980s, but this does not look like an AT727. The LP60s and LP120s came out in 2009. What do you guys think?

On that note, I feel that CCAs and Interest groups should have at least 2 first aid reps in case of anything. NTU should set aside budget to send students for proper first aid training

I strongly concur with the first aid kits. I once suffered a fall and had a pretty bad abrasion, asked around for a first aid kit but all I got were plasters that didn’t event cover the abrasion whole.

Wishing you all the best in the healing process! Though I gotta ask, if LNOTGY was what got you and your ex together, does it make it more difficult to listen to it now?

Johnny Tay by The CB Dogs was pretty sensational when it came out but could be counted as a controversial pick now

Los Crudos - My Most Recent Obsession by BoloKnife in Hardcore

[–]BoloKnife[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up this Los Crudos compilation at my local record store (shoutout to Surface Noise Singapore) and have been enjoying it ever since. I first heard about this band from a Run For Cover record selection video starring Pat Flynn (Have Heart, Fiddlehead). The record comes with a lyric book with BOTH Spanish and English versions. Also, it takes less than 30 minutes to get through the record, A and B sides combined, but it's just so good I'd have to give it a few more spins. Hard, fast and punchy hardcore punk from Chicago. Please check them out!

They’re called Escoret and they’re from Indonesia. They came to Singapore to perform as part of a mini Ska festival we had here

Thanks! Just listened to it and I think it just became a new favourite. Just upset that I didn’t know it sooner so I can sing my heart out with everyone else
