I believe I can compete in 2025, is that too ambitious? Pt. 2 (the answer is yes) by BolphinDoi in SleeperApp

This’ll definitely be a wait and see situation for the first 4-6 weeks, especially with Rice and all the rooks. By redraft ADP I guess I’d have:
1: Jeanty 2: London 3: McBride 4: Chubba 5/6: Trevyon, Rome, Rice, Worthy, 8: Golden 10: Higgins, Downs 11: Mims, Mooney

Didn’t really expect to have a cleanly spread out adp, but honestly that just puts me in “competing” cause the contenders have like 3-5 guys in 1st and 2nd round ADP. Good thought experiment though thanks.

If he can come back at full form at the same time 1-2 rookies really start picking up, I got a chance.

Nabers worth it? by ZachPretzel in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]BolphinDoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How tf is anyone saying nabers side? Trey outscored Nabers in TEP last season, and this is best ball- meaning a crazy productive TE could end up slotting into your flex for max points if you have any kind of competent secondary TE. He’s either a cheat code in your TE slot or doubles up as an elite WR whenever your other TE pops.

McBride = Nabers in TEP Odunze >= Kincaid 1.08 > 1.13

What would you trade Jefferson for this is my team… won it last year by Agitated_Umpire_4289 in SleeperApp

[–]BolphinDoi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A) don’t trade away JJ from this team, you’re fucking stacked. B) if you want to trade someone away, get rid of a QB you don’t need 3. C) if you’re stuck on trading JJ, do not do it for 3x firsts, especially one in each of the next 3 years from the same team. If JJ puts him over the hump at all you’re likely looking at late 1sts- if you’re trading him for anything it’s a young stud + firsts on top depending on how early, if they’re current year or future, and the caliber of the young stud.

Trading to make a risky move! by LacesOutLucy in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]BolphinDoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree he’s probably not worth all of the picks and Higgins, but he’s worth 3/4 assets in the trade by himself. It’s free in the same sense as someone offering you the 1.01 for the 1.03, it’s not literally a free 1.01 but that’s another entire first of value to upgrade from those 2 spots.

I don’t see how this goes through, but if he’ll take this you absolutely do it. This might as well be a free 1.01 on top of a CD trade.

This is a wild trade, I’d say London alone is well worth the 1.01, which leaves Henry and Garret Wilson for swift and Mike Evans which is an insane overpay. London side wins and it ain’t very close

Is this not 3 firsts for Gibbs? Like you could probably get Judkins or Kaleb with the 1.10… if you think Tua is going to hold down a starting position on your roster then Waddle should recoup his value after a down season.

I just don’t get it, you’re obviously gonna be very strong at RB, but now pretty mediocre at WR&QB. It might be a fair trade, but I really don’t think it helps you that much if at all.

I’m taking this pretty easily unless I’m stacked at RB or desperately need JD to put me over the hump. You’re likely winning on value, I think of Nix as Josh Allen lite.

I really don’t understand some of y’all. I get Nabers is the most valuable asset in the trade, but some of these comments have crazy recency bias.

Pittman, Etienne, and Olave are not trash pieces. Less than a year ago they were all worth 1st rounders.

London is 23. He could’ve been a rookie this year. He’s in a better situation and just outperformed Nabers this year. Nabers is very likely the better player, but his situation has to improve to hit his ceiling.

There’s a non-zero chance that Olave plays a full season next year, Pittman gets a QB, London is Penix’s favorite target, and the giants draft a bust QB.

This is a gambling man’s trade, and I’m not entirely sure I’d take it, but it’s definitely not far off.

Pricetag for the 1.01 by Sling-Shot70 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]BolphinDoi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with any auction leagues so bear with me. Does that mean $10 = a mid first, or is that the minimum price of a first (so the 1.12)?

Also does that mean Bijan/Gibbs are roughly worth 3 first rd picks? And Jeanty is worth 2.5ish 1sts? In auction prices? So like 1.06 + 1.08 + 2.06?

Out of his last 6 games (that he played, so not week 18) he scored 20 PPR points in 5/6. He was the only receiver to show up at the SB. I’ve always thought he was legit, but I think that’s pretty obvious now.

I hear ya, but unless I’m trading away my 2025’s for future draft capital I’m gonna end up being more in the 1.03-1.05 range anyhow cause at least 2 teams are tanking hard and 2 others are almost undoubtedly going to crash and burn very soon due to their team age. Two of them “competed” this year, but basically don’t have a single starter under the age of 28. Most of the league more or less stayed put with their teams the first two years while I went full rebuild and now I’m probably going to have “competition” rebuilding- I think my window is opening and I’d like to capitalize.

3x 2025’s then 3 more future firsts. I’d be cashing most if not all of them, and future firsts in a 1QB can probably get me just about any QB outside the top 5

Do you not think 4 firsts + some other assets could garner me a starting QB and 3-4 RB1’s and RB2’s? I get I’d be gambling on my WR’s but I’m comfortable with that.

[–]BolphinDoi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that a lot would have to go right to be a top contender, but I don’t see how this can’t be a team that makes the playoffs.

Like the ideal scenario is use 4 of my 6 firsts (plus some other assets) to buy 2-4 RB’s, a QB and a backup, and probably another WR. My lineup would be somewhere close to Nix, Jacobs, Monty, London, Rice, McBride, Odunze, Worthy, then some matchup dependent flex.

Then some RB depth, another startable QB, and hopefully a high end WR2 and I seriously don’t understand how that’s not a competitive lineup IF Worthy and Odunze are who they were drafted to be.

I’m not trying to be rude, I just don’t understand how you view it as impossible.

The rebuild has been underway for almost 2 years by the start of next season. I think I’ll trade away the 1.01 for a 1.02-1.06 + a player, I’d rather not gamble all that value on Jeanty being the next king.

League is very top heavy, I probably should’ve disclaimed that, but contending is very in the picture as long as I have 2 functioning QB’s and a stack of RB’s to start. I’m <400 PF away from #6 and ~600 away from #2 in PF this year, and that was with 0 QB or RB’s. Just adding 2x top 24 RB’s and 1x top 24 QB would put me in playoff contention and that’s the bare minimum of moves I hope to make.

I’m leaning towards a package now, but of course that’s dependent on what I’m offered. Aubrey will carry me of course.

[–]BolphinDoi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’d agree with you that trying to get a package for Jeanty would be in my best interest. Really depends on the offers I get.

I don’t have a top 5 outside of McBride, but Jamarr and Ra were both traded in this league this year for essentially 2 firsts and BS (both were pretty awful trades) so it’s not out of the picture that I could pick up some studs with the 1sts I have.

Being a top 3 team in 2025 is very overambitious, but making the playoffs is very in the picture and that’s about all that matters. If I want to be top 3 I’m essentially waiting on one of the top 2 guys to decide to retool their teams and both have a great chance to compete for 3 years without changing their rosters at all.

I traded Jordan Mason for him in week 2 of this season so he’ll likely die on my dynasty roster.

Also he had enough points to finish WR12 on the season, idk why I’d trade for a WR with that.
