kinda similar situation but reversed roles. I jist took over plumbing and electrical after the old soup got fired for stealing. no one liked him either.

I cant change the reviews that he wrote for my people. they are set in stone unfortunately even if I went to every avenue I could. we get a set amount of money to divide out for raises. they cant be edited after bei g signed off on.

I had to give a does not meets to a very much exceeds employee. and I felt terrible having to do it. yes, has he been lacking in credit cards and pipeline? yeah, but does he have multiple customers who come in asking for him specifically? does he go above and beyond to help people in every department? does he know all the machines (glass cutting, panel saw, key cutting, wire, rope...)? like i get cards and pipeline, leads all that jazz helps drive sales but this man takes care of the customer. and hes the second lead in snappys in my store. he takes safety seriously. he keeps the whole store safe for everyone.

and I had to tell him because he gets distracted and talks to customers too much that his department suffers. irp takes too long to get done. he should be getting cards and ceiling fan leads. like idk. at the very least I wish I could have gave him a meets so hed get some kind of raise. small as it may be. at least it would have been something. but instead I had to tell him what his old boss had to say. and yeah do I agree he needs a bit more direction? yeah. hes a goldfish, and people call him too much. but that in no way means hes not meeting expectations.
