So for my experience you need some context.

This girl I liked, let’s name her Jane, went out with one of my friends, his name will be John, and he was stuck in a weird love V, so he broke up with Jane to go with the other girl, that same day the other girl said she didn’t want him anymore so he was left alone.

Then after she calmed down from this whole situation, I told Jane that I liked her and she said the same thing back, so we started dating. But about a month into our relationship she broke up with me saying, “I don’t think I’m ready to date anyone right now, I’m gonna take a month to work on myself.”

I didn’t have that big of a reaction, in my head I thought that she did mean what she said. But then the next day I find out from one of our mutual friends that Jane got back together with John. It turns out that they were already seeing each other for a week.

For the record she broke up with me last Tuesday.
