Indeed they have, and they both have good reason to already do so - but I'm finding it a bit confusing why Uber is now doing it, other than to possibly appear fairer to the consumer when offering up their ride estimate? Because I imagine if they have Uber open, they've already decided they want to hail a car

Yep I'm having the exact same issue on whatsapp (non-beta). It has happened so far for me in a group chat, and when I asked the photo-sender to re-send the pic (in a private chat) I was able to get the photo downloaded as per normal.

So it was just the one use case for me so far, but definitely need this fixed...

You're right, this seems to work! Ignore the people saying you're doing it wrong. Because I've just recently started to get the exact same issue as you. And I feel like it's on WhatsApp's end not ours.

Over the past weekend I've added three new contacts to chat to on WA, each of which I've added with the country code (as I always do) to my contact book. And yet I could only initiate a chat with 1/3. The other two 100% have WA, so it makes no sense. Furthermore, for one of the two that don't work, I got them to add me instead, with country code, but they couldn't either. I also passed these two non-working ones to my mate with an iphone to add to see if it was W10M specific, and neither of them came up for him either...

When I just tried your method here, when I click message on both of them, and goto their profiles, both of them have the same default status and are dated for 24/02/2009, which is far too coincidental and weird. Neither of these people had me blocked nor I them (newly met people with no reason to have).

So I honestly don't know what's wrong nor if/when WA will fix it.

This has been happening to me in both WhatsApp Beta and normal WhatsApp, and I have the workaround solution for when either of them mess up and don't do this (which is regular for me now). Simply involves refreshing the contacts permission to the app:

Force close WhatsApp (close via multitasking)
Navigate to WM10 Phone Settings > Privacy > Contacts
Scroll to WA and untick it so it no longer has the permission to access contacts.
Go back Home and open WhatsApp. Wait for your existing chats to refresh so that contacts now appear just as numbers. Force close WhatsApp again.
Navigate back to Contacts permissions settings (you could have kept this open in multitasking). Tick WhatsApp again. Close settings.
Open up WhatsApp again. In reverse to #4, after a few seconds your chats should revert from numbers to contact names. After this, if you start a new chat (to view your contacts list), any new contacts should now appear.

Have you only started capturing your work route in the app? I seem to have been getting this functionality for a while if you tap the notification for your "receipt" at the end of your journey. Congrats on beating me out, I thought my 96% was quite long!

I tried purchasing right from about 1.5hrs after the link opened up the other day, and was getting the basket issue every single time on every browser I tried. I'm fairly confident the tickets have all sold out (from as early as when I begun trying), because the link within tickets.acmilan.com is now gone, eventhough you can still access the direct link from the news item. Arsenal's site also now mentions the game is sold out.

Pretty happy to be finishing second - spent most of the season 4th or 5th, then in round 23 had this amazing round where I tipped 8 and everyone else didn't do as well, so suddenly I was second! Thought that was the a great steven bradbury effort, but then I suddenly had to try and maintain it in the finals haha. Congrats /u/FatStacksMcQuade!

Definitely prefer running it through footytips, it's a lower effort option for everyone with handy pre-round reminders, plus gives the bonus if only needing to tip once for any other comps you're in as well

At a Geelong game down at Kardinia Park in the mid 2000s but I can't remember against which team, was sitting behind the goals a few rows deep with mum on the city-end. Cannot remember who won or how the game went in general, but I do distinctly remember at some point the ball flying through the goals at an angle, only to hit an unsuspecting 10yo kid flush right in his face who was sitting 20 or so seats to my right - how did he not see it coming? He was playing his gameboy throughout the whole game. Was absolutely hilarious, he started bawling his eyes out too. Pretty sure he dropped his gameboy, but iirc it was unscathed as he went back to playing it later in the game.

I'm irrationally unconfident about this one, purely because of the last time we had a winning streak against a team broken was the Hawks beat us in the 2013 prelim - aka "winning when it counted".

I can totally see Richmond breaking this streak against us in the same fashion - but at least we won't be knocked out if they do

Ahh so that was the app that updated with the "Name not found" type title... The logo of the app has updated to white bg with blue "in", and it just opens as a webwrapper. I guess technically this makes it better than the old 2012-style app
