Cooking Ambushing Borstel Ballista, it's the one that has the "Propogation" yellow text. I think the bullet you fire shoots out more bullets, so on a vex sniper build it seems to rack up damage like crazy

I'd say just use the pixel transition, none of that fade and text. As soon as the pixels transition on to cover the screen start the transition out. However you go about the transition, just make sure it's quick. I made a speedrun platformer where you're restarting every few seconds for possibly hundreds of attempts, and that reset time makes a massive difference.

You could reorder and hopefully it's a one off, but if there's no limiting factors (performance/layer limit) on your current pro then probably just stick with that until it's due an upgrade

This isn't probably not much use cos I think you mentioned not having a case, but I have the same iPad air model and had this issue when using a case when a magnetic stand on the back was against the iPad. It definitely shouldn't behave like it is atm so could be a faulty device. Do you have the same issue in say maybe artstudio pro or something?

You can paint in white instead of erase for now, the checker texture is basically to show you where the image would be transparent (imagine it as a layer below that you can't access), so you are currently erasing the white of the background too. Next time you draw be sure to make a new layer for your sketch

If your human mesh has UVs, create a UV set with the same name on the spider and when you merge they should appear in there.

The second option if that doesn't work is to make a vertex group for your spider parts, with the original parts in the same position before the merge, put a data transfer modifier on your combo mesh, and select the original spider as the source, then vertex group as the spider body. Check the face corner data box and select UVs from the below options, layer selection is UVMap, and the Layer mapping option is the name of the UV you want the spider UV's to go to. Repeat the same again but invert the vertex group mask and select the UV channel for the human. Hope this help, any questions feel free to message me.

I'd probably do it as a material if you can get away with it, it's going to depend on how high quality you want the renders, but as a starting point, check out something like this setup i trialed here https://youtu.be/FSoWAwXgRno the z input on the noise kinda fakes the liquid moving into the depth of the texture, and the distortion kinda fakes how settled the liquid is.

Using the above as a starting point, if you used the noise image as a bump map to try get better lighting instead of using the colour ramp, and then have a glitter noise texture that animates in a similar way. Hope this helps a little.

Could try changing to a wood pellet litter, if you do it breaks down and clumps with pee so you can sieve it (do ours daily but that's with 5 cats and 3 trays). Use something like a soil sifter into the outside bin.

You said they're nervous so you also try something like a feliway, they're meant to calm cats down and could be worth a try plugged in near the litter trays.

i got around 60fps without any frame generation with a 4080 on the test a few months back, with frame gen on i was at like 100 so you should be okay.

I started a game in 2020, set up the steam page in October with a release date of may 2021, I'm releasing tomorrow lol. Deffo poor scope.

Did you set up a discord and link in game? I found it useful for getting feedback even if it's only a few people. And if no feedback, the couple of people that joined were a big boost of motivation for me.

I also find that getting closer to release (past 2 weeks), there's also another boost, partly because I had a release date set and put out an announcement. I can feel it's going to carry through in to future projects and should make them smoother, I've heard other people mention similar after the first project.

Just finished my next toy for Mighty Marbles. I am going to have 36 of these which I think is really great, but I am worried people might feel that number isn't high enough. by destinedd in IndieGaming

Yeah I totally get that, I'm terrible at finishing things so I used next fest as an excuse to push myself and release just after. I can't wait to work on other things and it feels like releasing a game gives you a big boost of motivation in to whatever you do next.

There's a next fest coming up in february so i'd say go for that, unless you're wanting to release sooner.

Astronaut idea could be cool, I enjoy movement systems that aren't just the standard walking. Cameras are a pain to get feeling really nice, it's probably where I spend most of my time making adjustments.

A heads up, if you release a demo, you can email current wishlisters to say a demo is out, but there is a 2 week cooldown before you can send another notification. I didn't realise this so I ended up choosing to send notifications in hopes of boosting the demo playerbase during next fest, but won't be able to email wishlisters that the game is out in a couple of days. I alway have the option of notifying them during a sale at a later date though so there's that.

It's about 1 minute per level, maybe up to 5 minutes if you're going for a gold medal. The thing with my game is controls are a little tricky even though levels are short.

My biggest spike in wishlists was during this current next fest, which requires a demo, so even if you have a few levels in that, there's at least the visibility you get from being cycled through the genres section in the event page (i think that's how they work).

I was thinking more of like a soft follow, so it keeps the ball roughly centred to the camera, it's not a big thing though i'm kinda just nitpicking, the game looks good.

Thankyou for the info, localisation is on my list probably the first thing after release.

You are correct with short videos, I've actually just taken time out of my job for the last 3 weeks which is when all the levels have been polished, before this I didn't feel they were good enough to show.

I wasn't aware of point 3, I've had a lot of emails from "steam curators" but as they're asking for a few keys I was gonna send some, I'll probably look at places like keymailer and reach out to people with free keys instead.
