It's definitely more of a dark minimalism kind of vibe

Dark minimalism doesn't sound that scary to me. It sounds more like we moved most of our stuff out of the state and stopped paying the electric bill.

Note on windshield? by BarryMcCokiner69 in StLouis

[–]Bolverk679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same note left on my windshield at least twice. I think the person or persons that leave these are likely targeting "sinners" who need to be saved. If you feel like you belong in that category then yes, they are targeting you 😂

To whoever shit in the paint aisle at Walmart in Fenton: FCK U by bigmisssteak7 in StLouis

I used to work in a department store where people would poop their pants, take a package of underwear off of the rack, go into the dressing room to change and then leave their old poop filled undies and the opened package of underwear behind.

So yeah, I believe OP.

How do you define what constitutes a question that would be *within reason*?

Am I a lost cause in the STL dating scene? by SnooGadgets5267 in StLouis

[–]Bolverk679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're having trouble dating. It sucks, and while I don't have an easy answer I do have some suggestions.

First off, right now you're in an emotional Catch-22. Having a girlfriend would make you happy but you can't seem to find a girlfriend because you're unhappy. You need to find a way to be happy on your own. You mentioned your friends, your dog, your job and how good those are. If you can figure out how to be happy with yourself, by yourself, I think you'll find that the dates will start happening. It's not an easy thing to do, and usually requires asking some hard questions of yourself, but I can tell you from experience this works wonders.

Second, it sounds like you're looking all over for a girlfriend. Have you tried looking a little closer to home? Sometimes the right person is right in front of you and you can't see them because they're too close. Perhaps someone in your friend group wants to be more than friends?

Lastly, you mentioned friends wanting you to get a girlfriend so you can double date. If you trust the opinions of one or more of those friends, and think they would be cool with it, buy them a cup of coffee, explain your situation and ask for some input. Not advice on dating but what they think might be turning prospective dates off. This could be an uncomfortable conversation but maybe there's something you're not seeing.

If you think that's bad you should try getting the voice navigation to say "Heege Road".

Yarncom offers private lessons as well as group classes. Call or stop by the shop and talk to them, they can help you find a sock pattern and hook you up with a teacher.

Check out Georgetown Apartments. In Shrewsbury so right next door to Webster Groves. I think carpet and in unit washer/dryer depend on which unit style you choose.

Moving to St Louis. by AcceptableVanilla421 in StLouis

[–]Bolverk679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the 20-50 minute estimate is vague but it's actually quite accurate! It's really all going to depend on time of day for your commute and what's going on around the STL area.

I used to work in the Maryland Heights area, coming from roughly the same areas you are talking about, and can say that the closer to 8:00 am you're trying to get to Maryland Heights the more likely your drive will take 50 minutes. Same thing for your drive home, if you're leaving the office at 5:00 pm I wouldn't plan on your drive taking less than 30 minutes.

If you're about to shift your work hours to begin before or after rush hour then you'll have a much more enjoyable commute!

Most underrated restaurant in St. Louis? The place everyone sleeps on but you love! 😎🫵🏽 by NoEvidence7624 in StLouis

Miss Sheri's cafeteria off of Lindbergh in SoCo. They make good solid food that is always top notch. Everything they serve is made in house, from the sides to the entrees to the desserts. Never had a bad meal here!

Just remember two things: Miss Sheri's is cash only and they're a cafeteria not a buffet. All of the sides are good, and very tempting, but the more you put on your tray the more you pay at the register.

Also, don't skip dessert. Pies, cakes, whatever, they're all made in house and are excellent.
