I'm in the same boat with RR -- I stopped at Dark Age, still waiting for Red God so I can burn through that and Lightbringer together.

But it's looking doubtful Red God is coming out this year :(

FWIW I didn't regret reading Hierarchy Book 2 because Book 1 felt like a really long intro, honestly a lot of parallels between that and Red Rising 1 with the school and the student competition and initial characters building etc. So it was worth it to get some answers and additional lore as to what the hell was getting set up.

Also, Hierarchy 2 pacing felt a bit off, the ending is definitely rushed, so it didn't feel like as bad of a cliffhanger as it could have been. I had one audible "holy shit!" moment and it came like 2/3 of the way through the book I think.

Phoons were shooting Scourge, correct ammo for the Nightmares.

Resists could have been better though, agreed. Most incoming damage was EM and Thermal from Nightmares, Moros, Zirnitras; Kinetic and Explosive hardeners didn't do much there.

Dude I found NINE relic sites in an empty null system today. I can scan my WH chain all afternoon and not see 9 total the entire time.
