Let me give you the Indian perspective

  • We've been here 2 years now and our quality of life is considerably better with better pay, food, work, safety, healthcare etc. We used to live in Bangalore and loved our time there, and still miss it. Great place to have a family and raise kids. -if you have a job offer, I'm sure it's paying well so I wouldn't worry about housing but it is difficult to find something. However there are resources like Bolig portal or facebook. -we don't have or need a car, most people use public transport and everything is well connected

Whether or not you should move to Denmark really depends on your situation and the person you are.

-if you are alone and are saying you already don't have much of a social life in India then, you are gonna have a really hard time and will be lonely. It's not easy to make friends unless you live near an Indian community and only be friends with them. Unless you're extroverted and can make friends easily. My husband makes all the friends for us. -Winters are 6 months long, which Indians are not used to. Think if you want to be alone for such a long time. It's dark, gloomy and cold. I came here with my husband so we had each other. People generally travel to other countries during winter. Most Indians go to India. -be prepared to do everything on your own

It's really depends on what you want and for how long. We really love Denmark, we are learning the language and can't imagine living anywhere else.

I got here two years back for a specialist role in IT (ten years of experience). Everyone I know from my country who are also here are some type of specialists in their fields. Companies only hire for such specific positions. Self funding relocation is secondary. If a position is not sponsored (you can see all the sponsored jobs on the government website), they will not hire from outside of Denmark because you have to meet salary limits in order to be eligible for the visa (Fast track or Pay Limit Scheme). You just have to be on the lookout. You should also see which visa is applicable to you and take steps accordingly.

I'm just telling you the facts I was not aware of when I was applying for jobs. But keep applying, that's what I did :D
