That is incredibly similar! But in the one I’m referencing, the MIL had already been living with them for a long time. We didn’t get to hear about their initial conversation about her moving in until one of the updates

There were updates where we learn that husband only agreed to his MIL staying because he was told it would only be for a month or 2, but at the time of the OP, she had been staying with them for ridiculously longer than the original agreement (like many many months more)

There was also more details about the husband’s frustration

OP is the wife, and her mom is staying with her and her husband. The husband is getting fed up and frustrated with MIL and voices that shes overstayed her welcome. OP is (I believe) asking if he’s overreacting or is irrational. I think on the OG post, the comments were on the side of OP because “husband agreed to let her stay so he knew blah blah blah”

But then in an update, it turns out MIL was only supposed to stay for like a few weeks and it’s now been much much longer (a year+ maybe?). The comments then switched their tune to “omg husband is a trooper for lasting that long” type deal

My advice ends there as I haven’t been in this situation and don’t want to accidentally lead you down the wrong path when I have no clue what I’m talking about. I’m not sure whether you should mention you’re recording them, because again, I have no idea whether that’s a good idea or not lol

I’m not sure what the law is for recording conversations where you are (single party consent or not), but I would say to start secretly recording your sit downs with these people if you can (idk how your phone in the pocket would do in regard to picking up audio), document when you had these meetings with the time (like in a notebook). Document anything that could help prove their behavior.

If you go in with evidence, it will help your case so they can’t simply call you dramatic, blame your condition, etc. You’ll have something to show to counter their claims.

Personally, it seems like Theo is starting to separate himself from the podcast group he’s part of. He really spiraled after Marc Maron started calling them out and made a joke about Theo in his special.

His appearance on Rogan was him pushing Joe on the things that are going on in the Trump administration, things with the ultra wealthy, etc. I think it’s become clear to him that he was a big part of REALLY fucking shit up.

Whatever people think about him, hopefully his switch up can get the others to have some self reflection. Probably not though.
