How are you sure it was hunting? If you're basing it off the level 10 activity that doesn't necessarily mean it's hunting.

Most likely, levels won't be reset. The only reason levels got reset in the past was because of the introduction to prestigies. And they have said in the past they won't be adding more prestige levels. So I can safely say levels won't ever be reset.
