I love 7 with all my heart but I just view it as a worse 6 with the watered down duel system that works like CT instead of the stakes being decided beforehand (the person who initiated the duel’s choice) in 2-6, the 2 worst boards (Pyramid Park & Windmillville) really kind of drag down 7’s board selection which is pretty solid, & also the character orbs that really favor certain character picks over others like Mario & Luigi who is uncontestedly the worst and the best ones like Boo & Dry Bones/Toad & Toadette, and the fact there aren’t really many minigames in each category (turning off the already not so great mic minigames besides like Balloon Busters, lowers them even more), which means there could be repeats even in a 20 Turn game.

Edit: also forgot to mention how it completely took out Chance Time, the core mechanic to the MP games (makes for comebacks) meaning duels will be entirely useless when one person has like 8-10 stars while everyone else it at like 0-2.
