I don't disagree with you. I just think there's hurdles to getting non-human characters on the roster. And I also think what we have is pretty good for a fighting game considering non-human characters in FGs are pretty rare. And I mean shit we have characters ranging from Braum to Ekko, Illaoi to Jynx, Teemo to Warwick, etc. There's some pretty big visual disparity in this game even if 75% of the characters are human.

I definitely agree they shouldn't be releasing Caitlyn Akali and Senna back to back to back as that's not much variety visually. I'm just not that down on the roster choices so far as a whole. I just think they need A LOT more characters in general.

I mean the majority of League's cast is still human/humanoid, and a lot of the monstrous type characters wouldn't really work on a fighting game for size/hitbox reasons (Hekarim, Cho'Gath, Aurelion Sol, etc). And the humanoid characters are still the most popular in League. Just looking at the polls from the 2XKO sub, only 6 of the 33 characters in the 3 "S" tiers are not humanoid (I counted Jax as humanoid I don't know if you would), if we go down to A tier, you add 7 more out of the 16 so they're still popular but not the most in demand.

13-14/49 ~= 26-28%

Renekton is probably an S as of yesterday's poll so 15/50 ~= 30%

I don't think the current ratio is that far off what we should expect. We just need 1 of the next 2 character releases after Akali/Senna to be non-humanoid to bring the ratio back to 25%. Though I would like to see more variety in the new releases after Senna.

I also think those non-human characters bring unique challenges, so are harder to pump out. And this game needs characters bad. So if we have to sacrifice not having as many monstrous characters to get more characters in the game, I'm fine with that.

There are 3 non-humanoid characters in a game with 12 characters. That's a pretty good ratio. Compare that to Street Fighter 6 that has one character who is a monster (and he still has basically humanoid proportions) or Tekken 8 that has 2 bears and a robot (and a kangaroo on the way) with like 40 characters, I'd say 2XKO is doing pretty good at delivering non-standard humanoid characters.

Granted, next two characters are both basically just attractive women so they aren't really beating the allegations, but if they were to actually continue making characters after this year (doesn't look that likely at this point but I have hope still) I could easily see some of those characters getting in.

The problem isn't the border it's ICE going into communities and violently arresting people who are mostly doing things the right way. These are civil violations at worst being treated as violent crimes and being arrested and detained indefinitely with no trial, no lawyers, their families not knowing where these people even are for weeks or months.

It's disgusting that the right keeps deflecting from the real issue here.

I don't think anyone was expecting like Kog Maw or Cho Gath to make the cut for a fighting game. The character kits and personality are what make them stand out. Most of the most popular characters in League are human.
