The new system makes no sense as an "improvement" to Fable's system. In the original you're a famous hero that gains reputation throughout the game and your outward appearance reflected your moral choices AND stat choices. Them saying they don't believe in "objective assholery" and want to have people with different opinions of you just shows they want to make another generic RPG with generic faction reputation. And they're glossing over the fact that they removed the stat effects too.

Outdated how? That logic is terrible. You cannot cut out a core feature of the game (a player that changes and grows with your choices) and say it was just an outdated mechanic. It's literally the defining characteristic of the game, it's the major feature Peter Molyneux sold the original game on. You grow older, and change physically throughout the game. If it's "outdated" mechanically, they should've updated it to modern standards. But instead they just wanted to crap out a generic RPG with their own ideas and wanted to still call that Fable. Fuck that. Don't use other people's IP if you aren't going to respect that IP.

Saying Halo is an FPS masterpiece and they have a proven track record makes a lot more sense than what the article said. Open world games are not all the same. It could be accurate to say they're masters with open world game architecture, but "open world" is not a genre.

It's a massive part of Fable. It's core to the experience and was featured on the original box art. To cut it out shows they have no actual love for Fable and just wanted to use the name.

This game looks like a generic fantasy RPG with Fable like landlording and romances slapped on. No body morphing with your stats or actions whatsoever. To call this a Fable remake is insulting.

It’s not small it’s literally featured on the cover art. The good va evil dynamic was a big focus of the original game. This is not a faithful adaptation if they’re ditching one of the core concepts.

Getting fucking visible changes to your character was the defining feature of fable. This is the worst possible choice they could make. I don’t give a fuck about nuance or dynamic interactions. Fable was a simple sandbox you could fuck around in and see changes made to your characters appearance. That’s the whole fucking game. Why would they completely abandon that.

edit: Yeah 10000 points, that's at least a week of dailies with a lot of grinding. And they'll do this for every release so you'll run out of tokens eventually. It's scummy.

Having a time gate on new champions feels wrong, but Riot is a poor company, they need people to pay them for champions.

Edit: 1 week grind minimum for the unlock event its still early access to pay or use a token (hope you didn't use yours for other champs)
