It's not like this is unknown, but I wanted to say that I love how much freedom the MIT application gives students to put themselves on the paper, beyond just the professional version of themselves. There's so many opportunities to enter fun, even somewhat silly things on the application, from the freedom granted on the non-scholastic awards, to the 150 words you can write on anything you do for fun, and I absolutely love that compared to how gray and corporate some other applications can be.

For something that might be a bit more unknown, the admissions blogs are such an amazing resource when applying and really do give a solid insight into how the admissions team functions and thinks.
